The moral of the story is to never trust Zen in a game of mafia.

You must have put a whole lot of work into doing these, Rajam, so props to you. It's pretty crazy to be honest to be able to look back over so much of this stuff. The numbers are never really going to tell the whole story but they're pretty cool to look at nonetheless. I get shot more than half the time I roll town.

You're always so unassuming, hiding in the shadows. I will tell you this, you are good at being consistently null. Scum doesn't want to kill you, town doesn't want to lynch you, but you still were able to contribute. I would keep this playstyle, but know when to speak up a bit more. A few times during the game I saw you had better ideas than the current status quo, but they were glossed over or others took credit.

Then again ever since I read this post game Ive been aiming for it.

I don't know that that's true. All it means is that people think you're bad, and are wrong. My record looks like that too, and if me and Dietz were really bad, we wouldn't win most of the games we survive in.

I'm saying this because I nearly have a 50% record of getting killed before a third of a game is even played. I have no influence over whether these games will end up counting as a win or not because I have nothing to do with the other two thirds of it. That's why I think it's kind of worthless to draw too many conclusions from your town record.

Also, my overall win record is higher than 31%. My indy record alone is 50%....

Records and statistics don't matter and don't determine skill. It's not always your fault you lost a game, and it's not always because of you that you win a game. There's far too many factors in mafia to instantly assume win-rates are somehow relevant on the scale of things. They're good for reference but that's about it.

I would definitely not say everybody is good at mafia but everyone has potential to be good. If you don't put the effort towards getting better you'll stay bad, easy as that. You gotta be able to know how to scum hunt well (which can be learned) and how to communicate with others in such a way that yields the result you're looking for (which can also be learned) but that won't happen if you start off thick headed. Players like Ryker and marshy are thick headed, but that's because they have adapted themselves to a playstyle that yields them results that they want.

There is no right way to play mafia. But there IS a wrong way.
