Whiskey then Vodka then rum. Cheap Vodka makes me vomit too much, Whiskey is really hard but man I just love that rough taste. My favorite hard liquor is actually a Bourbon though.

How many drinks have you had while doing this interview?

Zero, too early for that, it's like 7:21. I have had beer in the shower and for breakfast to try it out though.

Does it bother you that all of my questions are alcohol related?

Not really, it's part of my identity and I am a casual drinker. I don't drink nearly as much as I used to.

Why do you always post on smashboards when you're drunk? Don't you have better things to be doing, while drunk?

I try to find something to do while drunk and I tend to end up posting on boards when I am drunk. Not always, drunk League is fun when I play someone who doesn't need super technical skill, Not Shaco/Lee Sin/Thresh/Rumble. Needs to be Sona/Garen/Nasus/Xin Xhao.

Why are you red? Why not another color?

Red is the best color ever, also I like the emotions it brings out. Passion, energy, emotional, spiritual and inspiring.

That i why I pick red. No other color gives me a good sense of myself tbh, closest would be blue though.

This i also why I do not like Red Lanterns in DC comics, it's all Rage, boooooo.

I see all three on facebook all the time so that helps. Sponge is still liviing in that apartment near my moms job, I think he is still playing a lot of MvC3 right now and was mad I didn't go to a large smash tournament back in January. I did have a reason for this though, I promised I would visit a friend up on Oshkosh and that was worth it.

Kenni is up at Steven's point going to school. He's been playing melee by himself a lot I think while he has a gamecube up there. He comes down once and a while and I wanna visit him more when he comes down.

I try to not mod anything while I am drunk, personal rule. If I did at some point, I don't rememeber so it was more likely a not.

Helps with stress relief. Helps me talk more since when I feel like I don't know people I talk more with some drinks in me. I think I do drink more than I should on occation but I am drinking less prequently since even I gotta agree, there is a thing called casual drinking, but I have been going overboard.

What are you even studying at UWM anyways?

I'm actually going to WCTC now instead. Why? Because I changed majors and some other irl issues I was having with ADD and depression. Got over it, couldn't be happier and I am graduation with in a year if not a year and a half. I wanna go back for programming at some point but for now I wanna major in IT support.

Oakland Gyros, how many times a week?

Believe it or not, I didn't go that often, why? Because idk it wasn't really a fan of the place. More often than not I went there because it was open past midnight.

What's your favorite kind of pie?

Strawberry Rubarb, Strawberry is the best pie.

top 3 brewyu stories

Oh boy this needs me to think about this one. Let’s see,


Number 3, I was out in Milwaukee for St Patrick's Day, I ended up bar jumping with my friends down there looking for just stuff to do. We ended up just going from bar to bar, though after that we ended up back at my friends house. I was a bit tipsy but wasn't too bad. So they invited a few people over, while I was there I met some people that didn't know me. They wanted to play Smash Bros for a while. Well I play it competitively so yeah it went how you expect, I told them about it later when they asked why I was so good at it. So they asked to turn it into a drinking game. I played til I passed out and didn't drop a game til I passed out with the control in my hands, I had one of the worst hangovers the next morning and threw up. Still it was completely worth it.

Number 2, Friend came over to visit for a while from madison to check out our dorms at UWM. So we started pregaming before we went out to a bunch of parties. I tried to get a girls numbers...but she never answered my texts after than night so yeah no luck there. But in the end we went back to the dorms when I was drunk as ****, fell down in the elevator and broke it, lol. Then we left one more time that night going to a friends place, I got so drunk I fell asleep at a place I've never been before, didn't know anyone there. Just left and went back to my dorm wondering what the hell happened.

Number 1, Summerfest was a blast. But before we went there my friend gave me this green looking liquor that was super high concentration of alcohol. So that got a buzz going quick. We ended up going to see a concept at summerfest. I'm trying to remember exactly who it was but it eludes me, much like a lot of that night lol. I ran into someone from my job as I was enjoying the concert and sort of drunk. It was kind of awkward lol. I ended up straight up blacking out and ended up at his house. He left that day to go to New Zealand for a semester. Was great since they helped me get back without an problems since I blacked out at Summerfest.

People will conserve and place areas where wildlife can live in peace in every area where the land cannot be built on nor bought. This is something I think people forget in the real world.

You're granted 3 wishes, with no possible work around for more wishes, what do you wish for?

1.) Reincarnation to be what happens after death. I like life and all that it is.
2.) The ability to make a virtual reality world. I wanna experience or make ideas I can't due to programming or work I would need to do.
3.) To turn into a comic book hero/thief. I would be a robin hood like dude stealing from criminals to give to other people.

Most improved Dgamer?

Ranmaru, dude has improve so much ever since he first came here and has continued to get a lot better.

If you had the choice to kill anyone and get away with it, would you? Why and why not?

I straight up wouldn't, this is something I couldn't do unless I was blindly full of rage or needed to do it in a split second decision. I've considered taking a Yuri Lowell or anti hero approach of stopping people if they wouldn't stop killing or hurting people if I didn't or someone else didn't and they kept going on, what about all those people they hurt?

This is also why I like Repede a lot at the end of the first video.

How's your life going, bro?

Really damn busy, I want to practice League or Smash Bros but I've been spending so much time on school, work and getting myself back in shape instead of working on these things. I got ACEN coming up right when school ends so there is that to help me out here for letting me relax after finals are all done.

What was your favorite thing from Apex this year?

Being with DGames, that in itself was worth the trip. Room was great and I got to try out some PM this time around, I don't really play PM tbh, but it felt better than the last time I tried it out. Room was great, though Brewyu slept well for one night, which sleep is usually a problem for me.

What was your plan going into our money match? How do you feel about it after the fact?

I planned on losing despite my boasting, didn't expect me to take two games off you at all but I guess Marth experience helped me out. He might me the one character I am the most comfortable playing against in the smash series, if not then playing against Lucario. I understand how he works on one end a bit and know what he does on the other when I am against him.

After, little sad I dropped the ball, but stil happy I improved. Which is what I look for more than actually winning. Improving and enjoying it.

Why do you always buy some many skins and stuff for people?

I don't really care for money tbh, if I got it cool but I don't rely on it for huge buys or needs I want. I barely spend money as is so when I use it for other people it works just as well. I feel better that way anyways, I prefer giving than receiving and when I give I like how it can turn out.

What are you most excited for in Smash 4?

Well, Lucario is fitting into his style more, lol.

It also looks like Sakurai and co are paying attention to the competitive scene something I think they failed with in Brawl. Now don't get me wrong, Brawl is still my favorite in the series but the feelings that Sakurai alienated people is pretty legit criticism. This time it looks like they are trying to make combos more of a thing, Smash Direct made me see this with how characters were working out, ZSS and Greninja look like they fit this well.

Problems in the smash games like planking are trying to be addressed by the looks of it, I can play on good wifi now.
Overall when I go to Smash 4, I think it will be better than Brawl and will be a smooth transition compared to Melee>Brawl

What's the Smash scene like where you live?

Brawl never was a thing in Wisconsin so still Melee central, Illinois has Brawl though PM is growing more which...is slightly disheartening. Only because I'm not the biggest fan of it. Over the summer I'm gonna work on going to more smash tournaments than the few I went to this semester.

My biggest gripe, with PM most, is how it just alienates Brawl specific characters like Lucario where it's a complete 180 while giving the middle finger to the Brawl Lucario players. I don't know a single brawl Lucario that liked the changes they made with transitions. Any kind of chain or combo I learned is thrown out the window and I gotta learn a complete 180 on how he works.

I like his better Double team, but damn I hate almost the rest of his kits changes. I'd have no problem if they just got rid of Aura, some peopple hate it for reasons I don't agree with but again debatable. My problem is they didn't try to keep an identity. They turned him into a ****ing shoto clone, Ryu like character. I like Ryu from street fighter and his style, but that's not how Lucario works. If anything he is more like how Sakura works with footsies and cross-ups. While she is Shoto like, she has her own identity.

Random tangent here but a complant and problem I have with PM which even with Smash 4 coming out PM isn't gonna try to make it a consistent kit, instead alienating players who played him in the other smash games.

What do you enjoy most about the D-Games community?

The openness, the fact people can call each other ass hats, ****ers, ********. And then just walk it off after the fact since we all know better. We all know each other very well and we keep our nice identity together. Which is pretty cool it worked out like this since looking at other places on this sight I have seen worse happen with community.

What do you identify as your greatest strength & weakness as a mafia player?

Strengths, I can understand when weaker players are being mislynched off garbage. Looking at Overswarm's Megaman mafia I called this on pretty much every lynch, to be fair with PJB's I got a roleblock result on him to reflect on only voting because I couldn't stop his lynch if I wanted to. I can also get people to see my intent clearly which is good that people can let me do dumb **** but I can walk away because people understand me.

This however can lead to a weakness, I tend to give people gut reads for no reason at times when nowadays I am working on it and trying to find an inner reasoning for why I do what I do with reads. Also when I roll mafia I'm uncomfortable, I can't lie well as you saw irl mafia. I'm terrible at it and only a computer screen helps me hide the visual aspects.

Favorite role you've ever received? Favorite set-up?

BlackBolt, I loved posting in pictures instead of words, I loved forming roleblocks on people with my one post of content a day.

Favorite set-up? That's tricky, nailing down one single game I loved more than any other is something I don't think I could do.

Tell me about your overall experience with IRL maf, now that it's a bit in the past.

I can't lie...at all. Same reason I suck at Dilpomacy, if I help someone I end up acting like a dog where I remain loyal to that person til the end unless they backstab me. So lying to people I am trying to gain trust...yeah doesn't work for me. It's just an issue with trying to be a good liar ad being more malicious...and I'm bad at it.

Still it's good to help me understand and read people better on emotions and reads. I figured out how to understand my composure better.

Any recent game where I gave people bull**** town reads or played too passive. I keep being reminded of my weaknesses and work on trying to fix these in mafia.

What roles do you hate getting?

Godfather/Ninja. I need a team to work with me. I can't be the one clear and work off it on my own.

Favorite hydras to see?

MurderBush - Ryker/Raziek is great to have around and always give a good performance, only issue being...I don't wanna be scum when I see them as town. ;_;

WATT - They complement each other incredibly well. Also I loved what they did in my Toonami mafia.

Anything with Marshy in it - I like Marshy in Mafia games.

Best?
Overswarm - This one is odd, I've somehow read him outside of a spinner. Only reason I ever got him wrong was due to an indy converting him.

Joey - I know how he works and thinks, he has a mindset that I got down when we did sherlock hound so many times. When I was wrong, I either read someone else as scum and had him as null, Sephroth mafia, or there were two factions, Celebrity mafia.

John2k4 - I miss him, I never once got him wrong in a mafia game for the same reasons as Joey.

Worst?
Marshy - I used to think I could get him down, but him rolling scum has shown me I can't nail him down right without a paper trail. I have nailed him as scum before but again, paper trail.

Vinyl - He's just complete unreadable to me, can't nail down when he is one or the other.

Soup - He's hard to see when he is being himself or scummy to me.

Next time we play brawl or Smash 4, I vote for shots during the game. Not a question, just statement.

How did you get into playing mafia?

Xiivi invited me to a mafia game in the Disco Room, J, Kuz and Asdioh were in it. It was a 22 man game with a 4 man mafia, I was in that, 1 serial killer, 3 zombies, 1 cult and town.

Fun game right? Yeah it was crazy and nuts all the way through, but it reminds me of Sandbox on Epic mafia, it's just a load of fun not meant to be super serious.

Your favourite moment from a mafia game?

End game of Adventure Time Mafia, I didn't even throw a vote down in lylo and won as mafia. I wish I could have converted Raziek even if it was winnable for town at that point as a yakuza.

What sort of mafia setups appeal to you most?

I like power set-ups like OS set-ups. Or a middle ground of simple and power games. I don't like vanilla games, they can get dull if you roll VT over and over. I get how it helps with reads but I just like having fun with PRs.

If you could change one thing you did in a mafia game what would it be?

I wish I never check Joey in Rake's recent game...I was going to check either Fand or Kantrip but I let people, define your reads, get to me when I was right about what I thought of Joey's slot, he was town.

If you are town, have no fear of what you post. I stay as a unfiltered mess but continue to play like this to speak my mind. Do not fear what you think or what people think of you. People will read you as town if you remain like this and work to try and help town as much as you can.

As scum, copy what I said above but apply it to faking it. Think about your gameplan and think, if I am town would I say or do this? Think if it makes sense, I step back a bit when I roll scum and think, does this help my team win in the long run? Is this the ideal move? Think of it like chess, what is the best move, if you gotta bus, bus. If busing is not ideal, don't. I've seen scum around here lose when they bused for no reason.

For Newbies, just work on a system to try and figure out what you need to learn from reading people. Why is this guy town? Is this deserved? Why is this guy scum? Is this deserved? Even if you are wrong, you at least put a thought process out there for people to read you on. If you roll scum, just apply what I said for scum advice above. Think about what you are doing and why for your scum team.

For Kary, I think you give up or just tunnel sometimes at end game. I remember Luigi's where everyone tunneled Rake at end game, to be fair he did play scummy. I saw your play in Toonami. You were a main driving force, but you were the voice of reason. It feels like my play in mafia. Not the leader, but the legit supporter that is needed to make town or scum work.

Best up-and-coming dgamer?

Ashemu, new but pretty damn good. Defiantly has past experience but Ash' play has always been solid.

This depends on context, if I feel strong enough I will speak up to what is right. If not and its not as big of an issue ot me I'd rather get along. I'd prefer to preserve getting along but I do have a limit to that. Aka if you are one of the videos with Yuri in them above that would be my limit.

What sort of music do you like to listen to? Which bands/musicians are your favourites?

I like a lot of instrumental and Video game music, vocal wise I like Led Zeppelin, Owl City, Billy Joel and Lady Gaga.

I recommend Lord of the Rings, but for recent books I would say I've read American Born Chinese, really strong book when you read it a second time.

Here is a trick with untapping, see you can target 1 thing with this ability right? You can untap this so you can target another creature with this. Now look where the colon is, it's after the untap symbol. That means the cost is just tapping it, not removing this guy from play. So I untap or blink him so I can remove multiple permanents in a turn.

Favorite card?

I have 8 copies of this in the promo form, I call him Matthews.

He is a well designed card, he can be hate in the right situation but if not he's not worthless he can still apply aggro with exalted. He is limited by two colors bu still is fair in every way.

Most hated card?

Storm is the worst mechanic ever made, period. It only has one purpose, killing people in one turn without counterplay outside of blue counter mage or the side board. I hate this deck in legacy because it is 110% uninteractive combo garbage.

Actually Ryu... I was a Brawl Lucario main, and I like PM Lucario a lot. He's not really anything like playing Ryu, his moveset just looks that way. You just gotta relearn how he works, which I thought was fun. He's extremely unique in the way he plays.

Keep in mind that "filter" doesn't mean "choose your wording carefully", because appearing too calculated just comes off as scummy. A lot of the time, the best "filter" is to say "**** it" and not post that thought you had.

Hydras are good that way. You can post all your little thoughts in the QT, and your hydra buddy can help you sort out the mess without you guys having to worry about lynching each other. Then when you post it in thread, you've got something properly "filtered" by a second eye that can cosign to it. Hell, hydras are supposed to be cosigning each other's reads in the first place, but so few of them actually do it, and people get stuck trying to read 2 different people. That's a different subject, however.
