I just got in one of the biggest disagreements with fox and falco, u should check it out in the marth forum:what is marth's biggest counter?

its pretty funny actually now that i read it, we got that **** resolved through pms so its all good.

I read it and posted what I think. Personally, I think Fox has an easier time against Marth than Falco does, but that's just me.

Friendlies when I get back to Iowa, JBM? I may be able to make it out to Glenwood if it means I can play your Iowan crew. Anything to support Iowans.

Tim vs. Shawn would be a close match. I think Tim would win as long as he uses his Fox and not Ganon.

And as long as we are making up true quotes:

I play Sheik because I can do the same thing over and over again without developing mindgames. I hope Victor isn't getting better.

Speaking of which, I played some more great Smashers today. I win most of the games (one guy's Luigi vs. my Fox goes 50/50, Luigi combos the hell out of fast-fallers), but at least my mindgames are getting better. My Marth vs. this guy's Luigi results in me winning though. These guys spot-dodge like crazy.

EDIT: Well, it's about 30 days until I get back home. A good a time as any to plan Smashfests:

August 12th: My place, Smashfest.
August 13th: Marion, IA Smashfest, hosted by kintehr.
August ??: Iowa City, IA, to play icy_icicle and his crew.
August ??: Glenwood, IA, to play JBM and his crew.

France's best players and pk kickers for that matter where some how taken out of the game.

first they lost 2 to and injury and a sub. and when Zizou headbutted that guy in the chest and got the red card I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

its not that I wanted italy to lose I just feel like I got cheated out of the amazing finish that would have taken place if zidane had still been in the match

but all that aside Zidane's a legend. you cant eject a legend. thats one of the unwriten rules of soccer. and if wikipedia's right about why he did it I would have headbutted that guy to

also victor I got a big ireland flag. too bad they didnt make it to the cup they had a decent team

In the Smash world: Rock told me that the C-Stick is now allowed in the tournament on July 16th. All I have to do is not get thrown out for cussing and I'm sure I'll place at least semi-finals...maybe finals? We'll see.

I just wanted France to lose because I'm still mad at them for beating Brazil. Brazil was playing pretty lazy anyway.

I laughed when Zidane headbutted the guy, I knew France couldn't score without him. Italy was just waiting for the PK's after Zidane got the red card. He is a legend though, it was just sad that he lost it during his final soccer game.

Hopefully we'll learn just exactly what the Italian said.

On a side note, David is right. I chain-saw people to death in GTA.

In any of those instances I would have layed a smackdown on that guy

I wanted to discuss the new tier list as soon as it came out, but thought it would be better to let it sink in first. It's been a few days now, so here are my thoughts:

- Sheik is NOT top tier. First thing I noticed after seeing Fox on top.
- I like the new list, it's definitely more reflective of tournaments today.
- I hate how tons of people in that thread are complaining. Anyone would change it if the list was based on personal experience.
- Glad to see Sheik is no longer top tier.
- Yay at Fox being the best.
- Falco being top tier is awesome.
- The only two characters in the top tier are also the two I play...guess that makes me a "tier whor*."
- Did I mention Sheik isn't top tier anymore?
- Good to see the Ice Climbers go up.
- In my personal experience, Luigi would trade places with Link, like in the old list. But I'm biased in the interest of the space animals.
- And finally, Sheik is no longer top tier.

Thoughts everyone?

EDIT: Found it, and I have to say it's way better than the old one. Luigi is disputable, but other than that, it's great.

Argh. I went to the tourney location to register over lunch, but the guy who is in charge of it wasn't there today. The place looks small, very small. It could barely hold 20 people I'm guessing.

JBM, you need to tell me when you are holding a Smashfest or something, I need to play you and your crew! Anything after August 14th but before August 24th (school starts) works for me, including weekdays. Your profile says you're the best in Iowa, so be aware I'm going to freak out everytime I do something:

I agree with EarthBowser. I already posted some dates for Smashfests that you could make, JBM. At least try to come to one, I understand we live pretty far away. Otherwise, August 14/15 (15th would be better) are still open for me to come down, and of course weekends.

And yes i'm the best iowan, if someone wishes to take that title away or prove that they are better than me(bring it on EB lol) then i'd be happy to settle it.

If our matches are close, I hope you become a little more humble. Besides, being the best in Iowa isn't really saying much, just look at the states around us. We'd get destroyed in state crew battles.

I have to agree that EB currently holds the title, although JBM might really be better. Plus, I like how EB uses Luigi, a character who isn't top / upper tier. yeah...

lol, no i don't fear really anyone dude from the surrounding states, sure they are good, but i'm that confident that i can beat them, i've beaten almost everyone from the 5 guys and a yosh, the only one i didn't beat was yosh, and i guess you could say Mo but that set was bull****.

EB i believe you still hold the title, and i plan on playing with you and having some good smash.

But anyways, I'll content myself with Being Pretty Good in Iowa(which ought to be amazing in itself, since there aren't huge gatherings often), and trifle myself not with these matters of state for Best. For I am, like, super-humble.

I guess I would like to play JBM as well, possibly his teamplay as well if that exists, his crew if we can gather one, stuff worthy of a fest. There's another challenge for the hat.

Before everyone (or no one) goes crazy over those videos...They're a bit outdated. So let me just say how I play now, because I haven't had time to make newer videos. I almost never roll anymore...maybe 1 or 2 times a match. I dash attack less, mixing it up with FC Aerials and JC Grabbing, I'm better at edge guarding, and most imporantly, I float cancel a lot now...If any of that really matters. At all. In any way.

ECHO- dude, no johns, if you want to play some more friendlies i'd be completely down, but don't john about our set. yes you did sd twice, but even if you didn't, the games would have been much more competitive, you simply can't say that you would've beaten me if you wouldn't have done that, not that you did say that.

Honestly though, I don't have that much of a problem with 1337 speak, as much as chat speak. Chat speak annoys me. Is typing out "you" or "are" too hard? Is the period too much work to press? Or shift? This is just me ranting...

As a side note, I wouldn't mind playing JBM. Except that from the videos you can see I can't play SSBM anyway, so it would be sort of pointless...at least for JBM. He might as well play a lvl. 1, right? Yeah, exactly.
