December 21st, 2012. The end of days?

I know the Mayans believed that the world would end on 12/21/2012, but did there native brethern, the Inca and the Aztecs believe this would happen as well? Just a question, for I haven't done much wikipedia research.

Mankind (prophets, psychics, and blah, blah, blah) does not know the time, nor the hour when this world will end. That and the rapture of course.

On the same note, I don't believe the Incas or Aztecs made many predictions other than the Aztecs one of a man on a white horse leading them to prosperity which Cortez (I think it was Cortez) exploited and rode up on a white horse then conquered them.

youtube videos don't constitute as proof. That is no proof at all, it's a person blanking out and having a dream. People have had them, but not all people who go braindead or have near-death experiences have them. What does that say about your proof?

And converting, despite what you are probably told, it not a choice. You do not get to choose what you believe in. Unless someone manages to convince you, your believes will always hold, whether you want them to or not.

Why people are afraid to convert? Well they're are many many ways why but here is the main one.

People don't like confessing there sins before other people. It's just too much to bare to have there wrongs all laid out on the table for everyone to see and for "fake Christians" to judge them on what they have doen. I know, it sucks! Some of these loser churches sugarcoat everything and they make you get out of your comfort zone alot.

I was just explaining why some people are extremely hesitant to convert. I'm not trying to say that I'm any better than anyone who is not a Christian. I'm dirty, I'm grotesque, I'm imperfect, and even though I am Christ like I"m a heathen nonetheless because I am still trapped in my flesh.

I was stating that what you said was not a reason why non-christian's don't convert, as, being that they're not christians, they see no reason for them to. You don't feel bad for not being Islamic, so why should a Muslim feel bad for not being Christian?

Most Christians don't even believe this to be true. It's just people going by what they were told when they were unconscious. It's little more than a dream. There is no proof of Heaven or Hell.

Shucks, maybe they even want to believe, but just cant. For example, I was presented with the theory that all people will go to heaven (of the Christian kind) regardless of wether they believed in God or not. It had the Bible verses to back it up and everything. It was a reasonable arguement, but in the end it was wrong because the Bible verses were against it. (The ones the arguement used were taken out of context) I'd definitely have liked to believe that all my friends and family who aren't the same religion as I am would be with me when they died, but I knew it just wasn't true.

This has been an oddly religious day.

Now all my grandmas, 2 grandpas and aunts,uncles, cousins,bros are still alive after many years. only one step grandpa I barely knew dyed.
well you know I have a pretty good life here under god my family is getting all most $500.000.000 from a settlement from the crash and well god is making that happen by the end of the year I will tell you how much we get and well believe what you want to. Just a clarification for you dbz22, there is a difference between being biologically dead and clinically dead. There have been many cases in which someone has come back from being clinically dead, never has there been a report of someone coming back from being biologically dead.

I'd suggest looking up the difference between the two before claiming that someone came back alive after dying.

I just looked up a random verse. Matthew 3:14-15.

John tried to prevent him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and yet you are coming to me?"

Jesus said to him in reply, "Allow it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness."

Taking it out of context would be to say something like "Everyone must baptize Jesus, and him you, or you wont be righteous," or someting like that.

Hey, I didn't make the rules, God did. But yeah, some of my Christian brethern keep going about ministering the wrong way saying "You are ****ed if you do not believe in God." They get things twisted so much. Our job as Christians is to tell you what's what, and if you don't take it as the gospel, then atleast we know we still tried.

You missed the point entirely. Don't claim offense when someone insults your beliefs on religion when you're doing the same to him.

If God really sends everyone to hell just for not believing in him, then God is a prick. It's the same as if I walked into a room, said "Who knows my name?", and shot the ones who didn't. I'd like for you to try and tell me a fault in people like Gandhi other then "they didn't believe in Christ", which proves my point. Despite all that Ghandi has done, he didn't believe in Christ, and so he suffers the same fate as Hitler. Is that fair? Is that a just system? No, it is not. And as God makes the system, that would make God neither Just or Fair, meaning that either God is not infallible, or that the system doesn't work like that. And yes, many many Christians no long hold onto the intolerant belief that non-Christians automatically go to hell.

The videos are quite old and even the subject matter is nothing new. You keep saying 90 minutes as if that's a long time. Do you know what comas are? People go into comas for days sometimes, they see things. Most of the times it's they have convinced themselves so strongly about something, that they see it in the comatose state.

Plus, I'm not worried about December 21st, as you kept stating throughout your post. Isn't that the Winter equinox?
