There's a Brawl tournament up in Odenton, Maryland with a potential Melee side event (after Brawl 2v2 and 1v1 ends). So far it looks like only Me and MooseEatsBear are interested. ChuDat said he'd join the Melee event too. But he said he quit Brawl, so I don't know if he's actually going or not

Because you can still play friendlies in Melee until the side event starts
