If you hit their sheild with the end of the hitbox, you'll wind up in your lag behind their sheild, and its tough/impossible for them to punish. How do YOU use dash attack?

pretty sure the only reason to dash attack is to continue combos that you can't follow up with grab instead.

^Really? I think it could be used more as an approach, but I'm sure there are a bevvy of reasons its not.

Its really hard to punish if you do it right...

Granted you do it right. And its a lot harder than it sounds to use in an actual match since you're most likely to be doing against an opponent dash dancing waiting for it.

Its just really risky.

Against fast fallers for a certain percent range it seems to combo into itself for up to 3/4 hits then into a fair or ftilt to fair. I like dash attack a lot.

I occasionally dash attack to get opponents onto platforms. Maybe that's a bad idea; I don't play many higher-level smashers. Generally, I think it's more beneficial to just grab.

I use dash attack to hit the front of my opponent's shield & get shieldgrabbed.
You too? I thought I was the only one :(

Its not a bad idea at all imo. Being on a platform with a sheik under it is really scary.

Its easier to hit a DA so it's a good alternative.

That's good to know. I tend to really rely on tech-chasing and making reads due to an abhorrent lack of tech skill so all my strategies, for better or for worse, tend to be to get people on platforms.

Your opponent reverse JCs a grab (as in JCs to turn around essentially), what now?

^ Huh? You don't even need to do that. Dash attack has like a year of lag; can't you just wavedash backwards out of shield and grab, or dair out of shield if you have a good dair?
Don't think you can WD back, but definately dair, but reverse JCing is pretty easy and grabs tend to do fun things, especially in sheik dittos.

Never used or seen used Reverse JC grab, but I guess it would work. More people should do this omg

>_> I like punishing badly timed/spaced aerials with dash attack, which usually leads into some sorta shenanigans that involve robbing a poor schmuck of a stock.

Am I doing it wrong?

How does that even work? I didn't know you could turn around a jump.
You can, I assume that when you JC a jump where you're jumping backwards the game interprets it as a turnaround when the grab/up-smash comes out.

Wait... people legit don't know this, I'm ****ing bricks right now.

OK, I'll double check when i get GC access next, but I'm pretty damn sure i pulled it off on multiple occassions which is why I have it on my list of techs to master.

I'll get one of my friends to help me make a vid next time i have a chance if so.
