I'll be coming to the Smashfest tonight, but I'm uncomfortable playing a tournament in somebody's apartment.

I believe he was referring to Brawl1's tournament.

Gigapoot is bringing a setup to UTD. Snake Mason might show, uh oh.

Proof that there are no tiers in Brawl

The results from March Madness 9 (99 entrants):

Brawl Singles

1: Cort ($435.60) (Snake)
2: PC Chris ($237.60) (Snake)
3: Nuro ($118.80) (Snake)
4: Jinx (Metaknight)
5: Solid Jake (Snake)
5: Darc (Snake)
No, I'm not picking up on any pattern here.

The smashfest turned out great; I was expecting everyone would want to play Brawl, but there was about half Melee play/half Brawl play occurring at any one time. There were also plenty of setups, which is a rare thing for smashfests, so I'm going to keep the mandatory TV-or-food rule.

Next Saturday's smashfest is still on--a lot of people I talked said they would prefer a Brawl/Melee smashfest than an all-Brawl tournament, so there you go.

And remember folks: regardless of character, charging forward-smash will result in nothing but good things.

The tournament me and Wobbles went to ended up having 3 Metaknights as the top 3 in singles. Me and him were 2 of them :p

Hello people: I would like to say that I'll try to get to the smash community tournaments and all when I have a chance. I know you all haven't seen me around and Miss me and my comments; but I'm busy in other parts of the smash Community. Though, if someone could offer to give me a ride to Melee1's tournament, that would be great. I don't know if I am going to be able to make it or not, but a promise of a ride would definately increase my chances.

Bluezaft: Yeah, I know what you mean. Snake, if used right is really ridiculous. Why? Simple reason; F-tilt. Without the F-tilt Snake would be pretty balanced, but that move right there is spammed and thus is his whole stratedgy pretty much. However, Snake does take a bit more skill, but F-tilt mainly. Other chars that take little to no skill or broken (Pit, Metaknight, G&W, Just to name a few). Others take some skill, but some are downright annoying if played that way (Dedede, Falco, Pikachu, etc.)

Uh-huh. Sure, keep telling yourself that.
The fact that I have the best Ike in Dallas is not a fact and only an inside joke stemmed from a roy ditto match between Rok and me. Whether or not people construe it as something different is out of my hands. Now, that is not to say that my Ike isn't good, just setting that fact straight.

Furthermore, I'm getting really tired of your disrespect towards me with your taunting crap. It's one thing that you taunt. Many people do it because the taunt in itself is funny. I asked you to stop taunting everytime I was getting hit off the edge because it was getting pretty annoying, probably due to the physical exhaustion, and therefore low tolerance, I had to endure earlier that day. Your response was that you taunt in order to annoy people, as a good way to win. After I explained the fact that this was a friendly match, you decided that taunting even more after each smash was the way to go.

And now, even after I let that go, you come onto the boards and throw it in my face that you beat me? I'm not gonna make any excuses for why I lost. There's no point, but dude you need to learn to show respect to the people you play with. It's people like you that make games not fun. Next time you see me, just assume that I won't acknowledge you.

On a lighter note, thanks to everyone (excluding one) who played me. 7734 and ****, those were some good matches. Poot, next time, your yoshi is probably gonna be better than mine lol.

Thanks bluezaft for hosting. I'll bring a setup whenever I get back.

Hey, you're that guy i 4 stocked twice in tournament back to back. I still have that vid, but it's not really worth putting up, by anyones standards really.

Billy, when do you get back again? or did you stay?
I'll be back on the 21st or the 22nd, so I gotta finish cleaning my old apartment when I get back and then let the continuous smash rain from the heavens upon my apartment! lol

People really need to stop complaining about moves and unfair characters and just man up. If you can't beat a single move, I'm betting the move isn't broken. I'm betting you're just bad.

That's not really directed at anybody in particular, I'm just kind of mad at the whole Smash/Brawl community for overreacting and complaining about every little thing. Shield drop > Snake's f-tilt. Powershield into dodge > most multi hit moves. Oh yeah, don't forget DI. And if they're spamming the move... decay much? :/

Well, I guess my opinion doesn't matter since I was bad at Melee (infinites) and I'm bad at Brawl (Meta-Knight).

Yeah, Rob you effin' suck, dude. Why do you even still play? I guess if I can get the time, and happen to be in the area, I could get lessons in how to suck in Brawl from you... I do still owe you a cream soda...

I didn't realize that it would upset you that much...you're honestly the first person I've met who actively disliked taunting. It's just kinda adapted into how I play, and I DO do it to be funny. I suppose in a tournament match annoying your opponent can disorient them, but I wouldn't taunt nearly as much because it leaves me vulnerable. So in a casual match, I'll taunt as much as I want because there just isn't as much risk with it. But I'm sorry about it; I didn't think you would take it as hurtful as you did.

And also with the "Best Ike" thing? I know it's just playful banter. We only played two Ike-vs-Ike rounds anyway; that's not enough to determine anything. Part of it is that I saw the Play N Trade bracket and you came out more than a dozen spots ahead of me, and from playing you I can tell we're on equal skill levels...so I guess I got a little cocky. I honestly don't care about being the "best Ike"; I'm just glad I improved. I honestly don't mean any disrespect.

So yeah, and I say this completely sincerely: I'm sorry.

...Eh?

I've only been to two tournaments in recent memory: the Melee tournament at UTD a while back, and the Brawl Play N Trade one. In neither tournament was I four-stocked twice. So you have to be confusing me for someone else.

Apology accepted =)

Also, Rob, gj to you and Infinity for owning that Louisiana tournament. Really wish I could've gone.
