Wait... Isn't that...

OMG MIKE TYSON IS A SMASH CHARACTER!?!?

Well anyways, this stage is my first Battlefield "remix". The lava under the platform prevents layers from falling through the platform. The platform doesn't move alot, but it can provide some quite interesting gameplay.

I'll be unbanned from Miiverse on either the 19th or 20th. I'll be happy to distribute stages then. Anyone at all can send Saikyoshi a friend request asking which ones of these you want.

Here's my list of "friendlies-friendly" ones, which would probably be banned in tournaments anyway but aren't TOO frustrating.

Here's my stage-filled post; https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAAADVHiL8F9qNQ .
Pictures of all the following, except Skyloft, are in there.

Potentially useful competitively;
  • Project M: Practice Room (Not good for actual matches, but has competitive uses as, well, a practice room.)
  • Project M: Skyloft
  • N64: Metal Cavern
  • Project M: WarioWare
  • Project M: Pokémon Stadium M
  • Panel de Pon: Flower World
  • Super Smash Flash 2: Sky Sanctuary Zone

Friendlies only:
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: Palutena's Temple (UR Section)
  • N64: Hyrule Castle
  • Donkey Kong (Game Boy): DK's Tower (9-8/9-9)
  • Pokémon Diamond & Pearl: Hall of Origin
  • Super Smash Bros. Crusade: Asteroids
  • Melee (E3 2001 Beta build): Yoshi's Story β
  • Super Smash Bros. Crusade: Q*Bert
  • N64: How To Play (Original blast zones)
  • Super Smash Bros. Crusade: Cut Man's Arena
  • Super Smash Flash (2006): Hyrule Temple
  • 3DS: Pac-Maze
  • Project M: Rumble Falls (modified proporions)
  • Melee: Peach's Castle
  • Original: Ghost Falls
  • Dragon Ball: World Martial Arts Tournament

I no longer have Neopets: Battledome or Original: Shifting Stadium.

Smaller version of district court could be awesome, alternatives to BF are always welcome.

I need some help in making a competitive on Project M Rumble Falls. This needs to be heavily modified because the ledges are a bit strange as they are now, and I'm not sure if I should make the stage wider (doubles) or shorten the length of it to keep combat fairly close combat with less emphasis on campy strategies.

rumble falls pm.jpg

Also, the top three platforms in my time playing on it feel too close together and I feel should be further spaced out. Any suggestions? All help in making this a great competitive stage would be greatly appreciated.

Will probably keep that bottom center platform drop through by the way, just like in the PM version. Could make for some interesting recovering options, a lot of which would be easily punished, however.

Edit: I made some of my own refinements, cleaning up things I've been wanting to do. The bottom platform is slightly larger, changed the ledges so certain characters recoveries (Mario, Marth, etc) more naturally slide up along the slope instead of often getting caught underneath, which you'd have to literally be directly underneath to have happen, and that's just silly. Spaced out the floating platforms above a bit so it is less cramped, being much closer to the top blast zone than ever before. Could potentially give certain characters advantages with throws, such as Kirby and Meta Knights up throw.

Can finally link my Miiverse with most of my stages, competitive or otherwise. If you like a stage and want to try it out you can follow Mii on Miiverse or give the stage a yeah! After witch you'll be able to find it in your history and download on the Wii U.

https://miiverse.nintendo.net/users/TheThunderPunch/posts

Here are some examples of my competitive works.

Enjoy. :)
I don't see Ocean's Palace on your miiverse...

Tabuu called, he wants his counterpick back.
Basically, I just took this image and tried to hand-recreate it. I probably screwed a few things up, but it lets Lucario land shark (stand on a platform and usmash through a soft platform), so I'm fine with it.
Edit: Found out what my problem was: I drew the stage twice as wide as I should have. Oh well; for a first port I don't think it's that bad.

Here's my updated post, following the proper format, with my most competitive-friendly stages that are currently up for download.

Nintendo ID: KarmaPilcrow

----

Stage Name: Super Smash Bros. Crusade: District Court
Stage Designer: Project Crusade Dev Team
Stage Size: Medium
Stage Music: [XENOBLADE] Engage the Enemy
Stage Description: My #1 most popular stage, described by one user as "the ultimate love-child of Battlefield and Final Destination". A really good place to just lay down the law (of course).
[collapse="Images"]

[/collapse]
Download link: https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAAADVHjsj3gisg

----

Stage Name: Flower World
Stage Designer: @ EmblemCrossing EmblemCrossing designed the layout, and I designed the aesthetics.
Stage Size: Small
Stage Music: [NINTENDO] Lip's Theme (Panel de Pon)
Stage Description: The cutesy series are always more likely to get legal stages (:kirby64::kirbymelee::yoshimelee::yoshi2::4villager:), and Panel de Pon is no exception. This is one of my personal favorite stages. You really did well on this one, EmblemCrossing.

----

Stage Name: Project M: Training Room
Stage Designer: Project M Dev Team
Stage Size: Large
Stage Music: [NINTENDO] Brain Age: Train your Brain in Minutes a Day!
Stage Description: A recreation of the ultra-useful Training Room in PM. I finally figured out how to put in a working grid, too. Even though it's pretty, pretty bad for actual matches, it's really useful as... well, a training room.

----

Stage Name: N64: Yoshi's Story (1P)
Stage Designer: Nintendo
Stage Size: Medium
Stage Music: [YOSHI] Yoshi's Story (SSB64)
Stage Description: Yoshi's Story 64 with no clouds or anything replacing them. This is where you fought the Yoshi Team in the original Classic Mode; it was called "YSMALL" in the game data.

Stage Name: N64: Metal Cavern

----

Stage Name: Protobattlefield

----

Stage Name: N64: Tutorial Stage

Stage Designer: Nintendo, I think; Reconstructed by me

Alright i've been thinking about the best way to actually compile all the stages I find in this thread while making it easily accessible to download, and here's my idea. (Will repost this to the OP).

For every stage posted, INCLUDE THE MIIVERSE LINK!

What will happen is I'll click that post and give it a Yeah! . What will you do to see a list of compiled stages? Simply hop on miiverse, search for me, go to my Yeah! section, and the rest simple!.

I'll make a mini guide on this in the OP as soon as I yeah all of the stages with a miiverse link. (Note, this guide will have ****ty phone images, but yolo)

Any tips or criticisms are welcomed, as this is the most I've ever done with the aesthetics.
(also i'm not sure if the small walls would cause any infinite combo problems)

Ooh this looks really nice! Especially that little patch of grass in the middle! The two inner ledges will be interesting, definitely going to try this out in the morning!

If you need pictures, why not access Miiverse on mobile and save the stage images through that for the OP? Sure you might have the grid on it (Or not, you can turn that off right?) it'll look a lot better than phone caps, so. Just ideas.

So, before people jump the gun on which of the cool-looking stages are legal/illegal, please please please test every platform and land piece with Bowser Jr's Mechakoopa. Those things act WEIRD on custom stages, especially against thin solid pieces.

I'll also note that slopes really suck for projectile users like Megaman.

Citadel Peak is made to act as a sort of counterpick for characters who excel at killing early or off the top, such as Fox or Ike. The right-most platform moves up and down, and the two platforms on the left are very close to the ceiling.

What do you need to do to ensure spawn locations? also does it have any adverse effect on movement or things like bowser jr. mecha koopa?

You keep tracing a line in a spot until it works, grid or no grid. The two characters should be standing right outside each side of the line. Not mecha koopas, but Pac-Man's hydrant would glitch up, and he could not stand on top of it. I fixed this, but it was a pain. Pac-Man's hydrant is worth testing every time you place spawn points.

I had ideas for a stage like this for a long time now.
sky oblivion.jpg

Nintendo ID: Merricktherox
Stage Name: Sky Oblivion
Stage Designer: Merricktherox
Stage Size: Medium
Stage Music: Fire Emblem - Time Of Action

Stage Description: One small central platform that connects to two slightly wider platforms on each side by a fall through bridge. Two soft platforms loom above the main lower platforms as shown in the picture above. Needs to be tested, but the horizontal blastzones are fairly small whereas the top blast zone is fairly high. I made this primarily for doubles, but in my scene I got a few smashers to play it 1v1 as well and they seem to enjoy it. I made the platform arrangement the way I did to discourage camping, which is why the bridges slant downward the way it does.

sky oblivion spawn points.jpg

The spawn points in 1v1 matches. This likely will change so they don't spawn directly on the bridges as shown above.
