presents:
one really rushed last minute tournament

A 32 man tournament unless it breaks far beyond 64 people. Check www.cubedconcept.com for details. I'll leave the basic rules here, but you must check the site for the full list of details. ​


By joining any Cubed Concept tournaments, you agree to follow all of these rules, as well as any rules stated before any tournament begins even they are not listed here.

1 vs. 1 Ruleset
Format: Double Elimination
Abbreviated Match Rules;

  1. Best out 2 out of 3; Semifinals best 3 out of 5; Finals best 4 out of 7
  2. 3 stocks, 7 minutes
  3. Items off, appearance on none
  4. First stage pick on random
  5. Each player gets to ban any one stage for the whole match from either random or counterpick
  6. Dave’s Stupid Rule; Stage may not be played on more than once in a set, excludes finals
  7. Stupid Rule Finals; A stage may not be played on if the last round took place on it
Match Rules extensive;
  1. In case of sudden death, ties are broken with a one stock match on the last stage that was selected. You may not change characters here. If that results in a tie again, the round will be determined by a sudden death
  2. Winner of the round may not change characters or pick stage. Loser gets to counterpick, he may only choose to select a different character OR select a stage of his choosing. If he selects a different character, both players must choose random.
  3. At the event the both players choose random, if a referee is involved, he may select a counterpick stage.
  4. In such an event that the loser of the round wants to counterpick a character and a stage, if the winner agrees, the loser may pick both a character and stage. In such an event, the winner may select a different character if he chooses to.
Stage Selection;
  1. Random Stages Select; Battlefield, Final Destination, Yoshi's Island Brawl, Lylat Cruise, Smashville
  2. Counterpick Stages include; Luigi's Mansion, Pirate Ship, Castle Siege, Halberd, Delfino Plaza, Norfair, Pictochat, Frigate Orpheon, Pokemon Stadium 2, Jungle Japes, Pokemon Stadium 1, Corneria, Rainbow Cruise
  3. Banned Stages; Mushroomy Kingdom, Mario Circuit, Rumble Falls, Bridge of Eldin, Spear Pillar, Port Town Aero Dive, Skyworld, Wario Ware, Distant Planet, Summit, 75m, Mario Bros., Flat Zone 2, Hanenbow, Shadow Moses Island, Green Hill Zone, Temple, Green Greens, Yoshi's Island, Onett, Brinstar, Big Blue
  4. Your random stages must match these. Counterpick stages are not to be on, but allowed to be handpicked in a scenario of a selection. None of the banned stages may be selected during any moment.
The site is undergoing maintenance, I'm trying my best to make it look snazzy :p. Let's see how many responses I can get and how full my box can get. I'm rushing this and one person is running this. Ignore a lot of rules about referees since it's only one. All rules will apply, but I won't have the numbers needed to fulfill referee request again. If for some reason I can't get the numbers required, I'll try this again this week on Saturday, May 3rd.

First place will get 2000 wii points
Second place will get 1000 wii points

Full slots, but again, if you've got nothing to do on Saturday, high chance people won't show up. Slots will be filled as people being called don't answer. Also, if the waiting list does become large enough, this can be a 64 man tournament.

even if its changed for 3, it doesn't seem like I'll get the amount of people needed to start this. Postponed until the following week. May 3rd people.

32 people is the limit unless for some reason the entries break far beyond 64. I'll start updating every day with the entrants, so that I don't confuse myself :p, hopefully I'll have more people help me. Sorry for the short notice guys, I thought I'd actually get enough replies though. Silly me!

especially in 14 hours :p... A lot easier to go to places and let other people do the work, good times... good times :cool:

Anyone that knows anyone, tell people. I'll do my best to try and make this a regular thing, but I need solid responses over time. Since the site isn't focused on brawl, I do need to focus on the whole video portion, but if I do the right things, I can make the prizes better in due time, both brawl and the video contests. So start telling your friends =D

Well I've told this on another forum where some people are itching to fight.

I've already got one reply that somebody wants to join. So yeah. It's wont be too hard to get some to join if some few people find someone to join.

If anyone uses meebo by any chance, I believe it has aim, msn, and a crapload of other ones.

those with no aim, or msn which I'm capable of using, you'll have to be online at smashboards to relay private messages, its about the one way I can easily get in contact with players.

I don't know if anyone has heard of Meebo, I think it works on any internet browser and requires no software. Just make an account with aim and log onto meebo if it's about installing software. ;o
