Critique My Kirby Please!

I've been posting in some boards and I haven't got any replies for my Kirby videos. So, I came here. If you have any good, bad, or just whatever comments, please reply. These videos are all against the same person; a Sonic mainer. There are a lot of Sonic battles here (I think just one Yoshi) and a lot of losses. I think I lost because I didn't go for the kill early enough. Also, there are only I think 2 matches that are 3-stock, the rest are 2-stock matches. But anyway, I'll let you check it out:

Don't really think you have to watch all the vids, I just put a lot of on here.

You're very good at keeping on the attack and spacing things. You also use a pretty wide variety of moves. Two things I would suggest, although it might just be because you were facing a really fast character, is just that you should try and use your hammer a bit more(usually in the air for the upgraded speed). Unless the opponent has a lot of control over their fast character, often times(with some practice) you can get them to run into your first, or even second hammer swing. After you hit them once or twice, you've already racked up some damage and you can put it away while they're much more cautious about rushing right at you.

Awesome job though!

P.S. I only have the time to watch two of the vids(final d and smashville), but I'll watch the others later and give you a more detailed comment =]

Yeah, I find it hard to use the hammer against Sonic, but I didn't use it much against Yoshi either, so I guess I'll look at that. Thanks!

Pretty good, try usig your down B more, 2 down B's = KO

i very rarely use down+b. i only use it when they are under me charging a smash attack.

I only watched the smashville video,... but don't use your hammer more than you are. You're using it plenty effective. You're using your moves pretty well. Just work on when to use each one (I noticed you only hit with one kicked from the fair before landing many times), work on "combo-ing" (dthrow>uptilt>uptilt ; fthrow>uair juggle) And work on edgeguarding (bair WoP ; suck in midair spit toward boundary ; Kirbicides)

Yeah, I do that dthrow -> utilt -> utilt thing a lot actually. I remember trying to WoP Sonic on Delfino Plaza, but I find it a little too hard because of his Spring recovery. I'll work on connecting with the F-Air and I never do Kirbycides... lol sorry, but I always forget about somehow .

I think I do Kirbycides a bit too much. o_o Sometimes I get punished for it, so I need to back off.

Instead of fairing out of edgegrabbing, try uairing or dairing.

I only saw the last video of FD but even then I stopped watching. No offense but 167% until you killed sonic? That was really bad for me to watch. After 70 or so % you should stop using f-tilt and use f-smash. I don't care what ppl say if you're having trouble killing, then just spam smashes after the opponent is at 90% and through punishment you will learn when to use the f-smash/(any smash in generak). I think your only problem is killing, besides that your great

I only watched your third vid but I was completely blow away by it, you are probably the best kirby player that I have ever seen. But I saw allot of moments when dair would have been usefull and you completely used a different move. When sonic was trying to recover you didnt dair spike him, which works well against sonics recovery because the dair lasts a good amound of time, and I just felt kind of let down. But that is the ONLY problem that I found and may I say that your vid makes kirby god tier worthy.

You definitly know your Kirby 101, but you were playing awfully agreesive vs a Sonic player, it almost looked as if you were trying to outrun him at points, and you reacted with an attack everytime he came near you. Calm down and read sonic's moves, you can make him look like a real idiot when he just hit's your shield with those fancy spins and then you turn around and punish him. That's how it works for me though, if your style is overwhelming then keep that, you still won matches and the ones you lost were close so...

You're an awesome Kirby player! That much is easily seen, you just need to approach Sonic a little differntly.

@3xSwords: I mentioned that in the first post somewhere I think. These vids are slightly older and I looked back on them and saw that I wasn't going for the kill early enough. I posted to see if anyone saw any problems other than that. I'm pretty sure I know when to use Kirby's smashes, now.

@apmpnmdslkbk: Well, thanks! I'm not sure if I'd say best Kirby; I still think there's tons of things I need to look out for in the vids of other Kirby players, like going for more spikes as you mentioned.

@Jester Kirby: Ya, I'm afraid I play aggressively like that with every character; the style IS overwhelming.
