In tourny, I only play pika, shiek, and peach. Pika most of the time.

However, if n64 has some sort of amazing shiek game that Ive never learned, maybe we need to get together and study it. In my opinion, though the top tiers can dominate if they buckle down and learn the matchup, none can shut down pikachu as well as shiek can.

I need to keep up with the smash world, guys. Lots of mario karting lately.

i occasionally switch to fox/captain falcon when i feel like the only reason i'm losing is because of the match-up/feeling frustrated, but it doesn't happen often

There's no answer to Sheik people you just have to be awesome and even then sometimes it just won't work.

Unless you're super awesome. Then it's just lulz from there.

The problem, as I see it, is that we main a low tier character, which makes us have sort of an unreasonable loyalty toward that character. You shouldn't let this loyalty rush you into a matchup if the odds are ridiculously against you.

Pikachu is my best character, and also the character I have the most fun playing.

With that mindset, I can play against any match-up as Pikachu.

jk. kinda. sheiks like going for grabs then shielding/downdodging if they miss.

I dunno, there's a lot to the matchup. To me it seems mostly like, if I can catch on to their playstyle (i've seen like 3-4 sheik general playstyles) then I can win. *shrug*

in all honesty, i get beat by sheiks but it feels a lot closer than other high/top tiers

Some of the best people Ive ever played suddenly get ROCKED by my shiek when I switch from Pikachu.

Pika is by far my best character, even if Ive put years into some other ones in tourny. But playing shiek feels like taking 50 pounds off my shoulders. I don't do well against shieks in tourny - Ive lost to Z and caveman pretty bad, as well as had trouble against just random shieks. No random marths, foxes, falcos, or peaches have ever given me trouble.

Maybe I just suck, guyz. But shiek is sort of dominent against pika in my head.

sheik's one of those characters i absolutely don't understand. maybe if i try picking her up as a character i can understand the match-up better, that's what i did for a lot of other characters.

and even if you do, it's like 30% unless you're in the middle of the stage or on fd

everyone who plays falco against me will always start the match out with like a jumping laser spam, so I either sit in shield forever hoping they stop(they don't) or I try to shield jump above them, but either the lasers move to fast, or my timing sucks or something.

Does anyone know how to not get messed up by falcos lasers so bad?
