This replaces DI. Long story short instead of being able to control the angle, you control the knockback. And people are worried that this might kill a ton of combos.

Just read it, that's pretty interesting, basically you can prepare for attacks by holding the control stick (or circle pad) in another direction, presumably the opposite to increase your survivability.
