I live off of Brawl updates (3 times a day). It's all I do to have fun and excitement.

I have not missed an update since this site came out pretty much, i have missed about 2, but i pretty much check them asap, i was out of the country and i still managed to check them, i hear by accept your challenge, im going to attempt to not look at the updates from monday until friday, but friday night, i will be looking (if not before then, it depends if i can hold out!)

If i succeed next Friday when i check the dojo, i will get 5 days at once, how cool will that be?!

If i fail, then the answer to your question is no, i can not go a week without checking them...

-and so it begins, sunday night...

I have already; but that was because I was on holiday with no internet access. But here back in the UK - I doubt it. I've been on SWF actively in the last 6 weeks, so my addiction has reached near the top of the chart :p

I have went 1 week twice in a row. Went to camp 1 week, got back and ran to the computer. Then the next week i did it again.
LOL
I went to a camp for a week. It had internet services. Every day, I would wait for about 1 hour to just see the update.

I went a week once, it was actually kind of interesting to go onto the site and look at everything all at once, like a big b-day present.

Back during last summer, I was out of the country for a month-long vacation, and I only had access to a computer once a week, so I HAD to go a whole weeks without SmashBoards or the Dojo, four times straight. They were tough weeks, as I didn't have much to do during the week to pass the time (most boring vacation ever).

As for now, I could probably skip the Dojo for a week, as most likely 4/5 of the days (if not all 5 days) will turn out to be dull updates, anyway. As for a week without SmashBoards, I can probably go a week without checking the Brawl forums. But since I need to be up to date with things in my local Smash community, I need to check the tournament discussion forums daily.

But if the Dojo happen to all of a sudden begins to start updating like they did for the October 8th-12th week, then I won't even be 5 minutes late for the updates.

My internal clock has somehow gotten wired so that I go to bed at like 10, wake up between 3 and 4:30, check the update, and go back to sleep. Don't know how it happened, but I need the updates.

Even after the game comes out I'll check 'em every day. Old habits die hard.
ROFL! thats messed up dude.

well I myself could go without the updates, actually i find this forum to be more useful but going without both? thats jsut torture. maybe if my friends stayed over for the whole week playin SSBM, then Maybe it would work.

Probably not. Now if the game was already out, that's another thing altogether.

A whole week you say? Well of course. In fact, I went a whole 2 weeks without it. Why? Because my grandma doesn't have a computer. So yeah, I have willpower.

There have been other games that haven't had daily updates like SSBB. I suppose I COULD go a week without any updates, but I'd still constantly try to check the Dojo. Kinda turned into somewhat of a ritual for me every weekday, checking on the latest update.

I've been checking the updates since I found out about the site, which was June 1st : the day Delfino Plaza
was confirmed, so I probably couldn't. Every weekday I wake up at 6: 30 and check the update, then do
everything else I do at home in the morning before going to school. I never missed an update but once,
and i don't plan on it. :)

EDIT : Oh crap, never mind that last part, i have to go on a trip in April, so I'll have to
miss 3 days of updates :(

I'd try, but then curiousity would get to me. I spend a lot of my time on my computer, and having access to the Dojo at any minute would be too much.

A week without the Dojo? I've thought about it, especially back when the draught was just kicking off and I was fuming angry every single night.

But honestly, staying up for the update doesn't get in the way of my sleep anyway - I'm usually up this late, even on weekends.

And these days I just laugh at the updates when they're bad. The only thing that truely bothers me is when someone tries to pass off a terrible update as being the best thing in the world.

I agree with everyone that Dojo isn't nearly as enthralling as it once was, the updates these days have been a little disappointing. I'm not saying they need to Character spam us, but Dedede over a month and a half ago is a long time without any mention of new characters =/

Granted, the inclusion of older stages and some random things here and there, especially the Custom Stage Builder seem very interesting.

And I have to say, the day SSBB comes out in Japan I will be among the first to seek the full unlocked roster. February 10th is too long from then, haha. XP
