Ike's and Lyn are in first. I approve. Roy and Lucina are in second. I approve. Hector is in third. I approve. Why is Tharja in the top 3? She shouldn't be anywhere near the Top 20.

But anyway, these results are pretty good. Azura is in the Top 10. Roy is in 2nd place, despite him being supposedly hated by FE fans. Although that may be Japan's influence, since Roy actually ended up placing first in the Binding Blade poll. This may also be explained by Roy being in Smash. Ike and Lucina are also in Smash (and Lyn if you count Assists) and they are in the Top 3 as well. Also, very surprised i'm not seeing Sigurd or Seliph on this list. I thought FE4 was like, the most popular FE. But at the very least, i'm glad Sigurd isn't there. Overall, these results are pretty good. I hope i can boost Azura's placing a bit.

So i checked and yes, when Hector used Armads, he would use his left hand. HOWEVER, whenever he activated a critical with Armads, he would use his right hand. Huh. I guess then it's more accurate to say that Hector is the first ambidextrous Lord while Alm is the first left-handed Lord.

This could be relevant: the first couple of months I had Fates, I adored Hinoka. As time went on, I began to read more of her supports, and I came to the sad conclusion that she has very little personality other than "I'm a tough older sister." I was severely disappointed. Don't get me wrong; it's not that I don't like her, it's just that she was disappointing.

Sakura, on the other hand, went slowly from being my least favorite of all the siblings to my favorite of the sisters. As I read more of her supports, I began to appreciate her kind and gentle personality; going in, I honestly expected her to be one of the more gimmick-heavy siblings, but I found the opposite is true. Even though her gimmick is prevalent in most of her supports, she also manages to show a surprisingly strong determination to help others and to be useful. Her efforts are constantly directed towards overcoming her social anxiety so she can better serve. While you could call this a bit cliched, I found it to be well-presented on Sakura. I personally think she's the most charming character in the game, and one of the most adorable characters in the entire series.

Perhaps a lot of people went through a similar change of opinion over time. Just a theory to help explain the results of the ballot.

All right, i'm finally back from the tournament. I did pretty good overall. My first match was up against a Dark Pit but this Dark Pit exclusively spammed Side-B, so it was a pretty easy win. After that, i fought a Marth/Lucina player. I beat him. My third match was also against a Marth and that was when i lost. But i still had loser's bracket. Unfortunately, i was beaten by a pretty good Mario.

It was a local, so it was pretty small, but i think i either got Top 16 or Top 8. But everyone there was really nice, and i had a lot of fun. I don't know when i'll be able to go to the next tournament but i look forward to the day i can.

Decided to join the Lyn bandwagon even though I've yet to fully play her game, and Roy is the only character that I've voted twice for in the span of the ballot. My most recent vote is for another Lord who I'm familiar with - Ephraim from The Sacred Stones; once again since SS was my first Fire Emblem game, and Ephraim's a pretty interesting character in contrast to his sister. Yeah, most of my votes are for the GBA FE characters and most of those choices are from the Elibe series. Sophia is my latest vote because she's amazing in Binding Blade (if you take the time and effort to train her). An Apocalypse-wielding Sophia one-shots Idden.....twice. Which is why if they ever make a Binding Blade remake, they need to make Idden an actual challenge. I voted for Ninian yesterday because she's one of my favorites among the FE dancers.

Aaaaaand i just realized i haven't voted for Azura yet. I'm a fraud. Well, i'll be voting for Azura tomorrow.

Are you talking about the Phantom Ship level? Because that chapter was hard mainly because of Fog of War. I had to restart that chapter like, 15 times. That being said, i'd rather have that chapter over Binding Blade's Chapter 21.

I thought it was pretty cool how Fates introduced an Asian-inspired nation considering how previous Fire Emblem titles usually focused on a Medieval Europe setting. By introducing an Asian-themed nation, we were introduced to many, interesting new classes along with an Asian-inspired soundtrack, and I think IS could potentially expand on that for the next title.

What I really did like about Hoshido, however, was how clearly its culture helped it stand out from Nohr. They really did feel completely different from one another. Rather then just hoping for a nation with specific origin in particular, what I really like to see is distinct cultures within the fictional worlds - I liked seeing the Sacae plainsmen or and Laguz tribes in previous FEs as well. And make them more interesting then what we saw in Fates, to. Hoshido was basically just Japan with all of the bad parts taken out of it.

I played through the fan translation of the Japanese Fates and married myself off to my favourite characters (Keaton, Kaden, Soleil). I did all the my room stuff and the face petting makes it pretty much impossible to play this game outside of your room because the characters make these moaning sounds. Plus, it just looks really creepy with you petting a... human? Not like, an actual animal or anything unlike pokemon.

The face petting is literally useless and I don't even know why it would be beneficial to the game. The my room stuff is pretty pointless and I hope they either make character interactions better, or just remove the my room.


As for the swim suits it's just an accessory and I really don't care about those so I couldn't care less lol

I can see your point, but adding to the "new" classes, you also have classes such as the Oni Chieftains, Blacksmiths, Basaras, Mechanists, and Merchants. There's also new classes such as Master of Arms and Spear Fighters/Masters, but the former is more-like Great Knight with less mobility while the latter is similar to the Soldier class from older titles from what I've heard.

Yeah. I mean, some of the children characters are still popular, such as Soleil and Shigure, but a lot of the newer fans do feel like it shouldn't have been there. The newer fans also have mixed feelings on Fates' story (or stories) as well. In general, the newer fans have mixed feelings about Fates.

Those same fans, however, are also hyped for FE Echoes, which is great, because it shows that newer fans DO want to play the older games, provided it's accessible. Accessibility is the main reason why a lot of the newer fans don't play the older games. 7 of the currently available 14 Fire Emblem games are Japan-Only. And of the 7 that are available outside of Japan, Blazing Blade and Sacred Stones are the easiest to play because Virtual Console (this is not counting Awakening and Fate, because those are the easiest to find). Tellius? Good luck getting $80 for both games each. Shadow Dragon? If you can find it at all.

And sure, emulators do exist, but those newer fans probably want to buy the games (at least the ones released outside of Japan) legally, instead of using emulators. I know JWittz wouldn't use emulators unless it's for a Japan-only game.

Quick tip for those who want to maximise their first summon: Spending 20 orbs at once is the most cost effective way of doing it. You get 15 for completing the tutorial, 3 for the first three story missions, and 2 for logging in on release day. So wait until doing those three missions before doing it.

Looks like you can get 10 free orbs from My Nintendo. There's also other rewards you have to redeem points for, but I have no clue what any of them do because I don't have a way of playing the game right now.

So for whatever stupid reason, Fire Emblem Heroes is still not out in North America. Even though it's been Feburary 2nd for 15 hours now. If the game isn't released within two hours, i'm just downloading an APK for it.
