Man I hope I can buy more master seals. I need 2 more for Benny and Keaton!!
You can buy Master seals if you visit other people's castles that have Rod/staff shops at level 3. I know there are some in the highest visiting rankings that have the shop at level 3. Their castles helped me get more before I was able to buy them in my own castle..
Who should my Femui marry in Birthright? Azama or Kaden?
I had my Femui marry Kaden. Selkie is best Daughter imo  I'd have to go with Kaden so that Selkie and Kana can transform into both a Dragon and a Kitsune :p

Also has anyone seen a Crit (was at 17%) miss at 97% accuracy or something worse? RNGod favors that 3% :ohwell:

Praise be to the mod that changed the title of this thread. I don't know when the title was changed, but it's been accurate for so long now.

I feel like Selkie and Midori, Ophelia, Soleil, and Sophie - might be missing someone else.. Nina? - are the Cynthia's for me in Fates. They might be a handful, but nothing beats how cute, kind, and "happiness-bringing" they are. Cynthia's "generic" father supports in Awakening makes you want to cry in happiness and sadness. If they were your child, you'd do anything to stop them from ever being sad.

I was looking forward to marrying Camilla in the game, unfortunately I saw her support with Silas, now I feel like a ***** jerk. I won´t be touching the game for a few weeks.

Kaden all the way! He's a really fun guy, and you'll have his cute fox girl as your daughter.

Priest Mugen with starry eyes or Ratchet's father... Tough choice... Starry eyed daughter who's sleep-focused or an energetic, cute fox girl... Even tougher choice... Flip a coin?
Was... was that a Samurai Champloo referance?! If so then I'm proud I finally got one

Damn, turning Mozu back into a Kinshi Knight for Conquest 21 is really saving my hide. It let me ferry my units across the canyon to skip a big chunk of Conquest 23, and now Conquest 24 features flying units and an enemy Dragon Vein that massively increases their movement... without her flight and arrows I'd be sunk here.

Well, he and Azama in Fates have afro-like hair. Their personalities are supposedly similar? Apparently Azama was also a hot-headed, rough guy before mellowing out. Also, Lon'qu and Spike - Samurai Bebop. :p

Good god, Conquest 25. The ninjas! The swordmasters! The goddamn puppet with Lunge! It's pure chaos in here!

I think it's time I invest in some stat tonics for this level. The amount of enemies I'm expected to kill while splitting my army in half is insane, especially with a turn limit before the boss starts going bananas on Corrin.

I'm on that chapter now, managed to take care of the west side provided good RNG with little issue thanks to selena/severa with shurikenbreaker and Xander tanking most hits. I have no idea how to handle the east side, however

So I beat Conquest yesterday.
The plot wasn't nearly as bad as all the haters made it out to be. I actually enjoyed it once I got past what an uninteresting main character Corrin was, especially near the end. I had a serious feeling of dread when I realized that Ryoma was going to kill himself, and the fact that they had a CG cutscene for it really added to the impact. But the ending itself? That was really disappointing, actually.

They left way too much unexplained. How was Takumi possessed? Who's Anankos?
And what they heck happened with Azura? Did she die? At the beginning of the endgame level, she made it sound like she was going to die. Why would singing some song kill her? There's probably some reason, but they didn't say what it was. I hear that most of the unanswered questions are addressed in Revelations, but still, that's just super lame.
In my opinion, Corrin is one of the most interesting lords the Fire Emblem series has to offer. He's three sides of the same coin as his personality changes depending on the path. As for your questions, yeah they will answer those in Revelation. Well, Revelation will answer all but one
Yeah she died. The song killed her. Actually, let me be specific: The pendant killed her. Just singing the song won't do anything. Here's a good comparison: The song is the gun and the pendant is the bullet. In her supports with Shigure, she explains the consequences of using the pendant. She goes more in detail over this in Birthright. The only reason this isn't answered in Revelation is because it doesn't happen in Revelation.
I don't see why leaving some questions unanswered until Revelation is lame though. If they answered everything in just one path, then there would be no point in playing the other paths.

Awesome news: I downloaded Corrin and Bayonetta finally!

Not-so-awesome news: Apparently my data got corrupted at some point when I had to transfer my Wii U data to an external hard drive back when I downloaded XCX, so now I have to UNLOCK EVERYTHING AGAIN!

But at least I have a good reason to play as the DLC characters now!

Oh hey, we have a Nintendo Direct tomorrow. You know what else is tomorrow? Azura's Birthday. Oh and also the gold and weapon DLC maps release tomorrow but even though i have the money to buy them, if i buy just one, i'll probably be one cent short of buying Revelation.

Is there a reason to not just fight the boss? That's what I did. I can't remember if there were chests or anything.

Two chests, one with 10000G and one with a Silence staff. And Iago's coming up, so I'll definitely need that staff.

Also, delicious EXP.

I won the day by camping out the lower left quadrant on that one, positioning as needed to not get any units swept into the upper half of the map. My first attempt was more aggressive and devolved into a frantic scramble for positioning after I found myself caught between enemies coming on both sides and Hayato staring down my army. Then Jakob got himself doubled by a Falcon Knight. Damn it.

Oh, and take down Fuga fast once you reach him... get the chests first.

I recently finished the Before Awakening DLC map and I gotta say it was tougher than I thought it would be.

I get the distinct feeling I'm not playing Conquest 26 as efficiently as I should.

That is, being chased in circles around the level by seven Generals and a Berserker, slowly chipping away at their health with Velouria's Grisly Wounds as Iago harasses me with his infinite staves, because the Generals have Wary Fighter and Beast Killers.

Wary fighter? haven't heard that skill before. What does it do?

Prevents both the user and the opponent from doing double attacks, except the special double attack from Brave weapons.

It guarantees I can't wipe out these Generals in just one turn, so here I am running around trying to whittle them down little by little with counterattacks.

Ignatius's paralouge is ****ing impossible. I'm supposed to rout the enemy while defending the village at the same time. Which would be fine, if the village wasn't half a map away. And Ignatius, the sole guardian of the village, has a stat rating of 101 (meaning he's weak). This is basically Genealogy of the Holy War where saving villages is impossible because the enemy gets to it so fast.

Ignatius ended up being the kid I recruited. Largely because I did not care for his father or the mother he was getting (Effie). If I end up deciding on marrying a first gen girl from Conquest, I would most likely leave Benny single.

The only second gen kids I'm really using are Ophelia, Soleil, Velouria, and Siegbert. I'm going to try out Forrest and see how he turned out for the remaining story chapters left. Forrest's mother is Nyx.

Damn it, overextended on Endgame and got Velouria killed. Staff wielders are a real pain in the butt on Conquest. There's even a Hexing Rod guy here...

I don't think that would've made a difference. Especially since half of the enemy units are promoted. Actually, i think all of them are.

I sent my op Xander with Benoit to the village followed by siegbert with Azura with him so Xander can get there faster

Because the questions left unanswered were just to big.
A good ending to a story should have a satisfying conclusion, not a confusing one.

Compare to like FE7. Yes, it ended in a cliff hanger, which is a bit annoying considering that Binding Blade was never released in the west, but it's not like they didn't explain where the final boss in that game came from or anything. Everything important to FE7's story was explained.

But in Conquest, they just leave way too much unexplained.

I mean, yeah, but the games were designed as three not two, and since one is definitively the true ending, it makes sense to answer everything there.

To answer the questions at the end of Conquest/Birthright would (I assume) be major Revelation spoilers.

It's just a flaw of the design philosophy, but I expected it from the beginning so I haven't been disappointed. I actually didn't expect such drastic differences in the outcome of the other two, so I've been pleasantly surprised.

I had Camilla ferry Benny over to Ignatius to talk. But that did nothing. I mean, it made Ignatius playable but other than that, it did nothing. I still have to rout the enemy while defending a village that's half a map away from my starting point. And that's impossible.
