They pronounced Sakura wrong.
It's pretty easy to make that mistake, even if you know how it's supposed to be pronounced. I don't think about it much, but I accidentally swap "u"s for "e"s all the time in my pronunciations.
The singer's name is Renka. She didn't write the song but she did sing it. She also only voiced Azura during Azura's signing lines. When not singing, Azura was voiced by Lynn. She also sang Lost in Thoughts All Alone in the FE 25th anniversary concert.
Ah, okay, yeah. That name is familiar.
Sorry for the inaccuracies, I was going off memory and I had a shoddy understanding of it to begin with.

Got it from this post, though idk where the actual source of the pic is since it's just a render. :c
Hey, thanks. Now that i saw the full image, if i remember correctly, i think its from one of the Fates artbooks although i don't know if its the one that comes with the special edition or if its a different artbook.

Miiverse is pretty great when it's not being salty AF.
I love how Corrin looks like the Fates anime style while Mario is CD-I.
That's the third time i've seen CD-I Mario today.
We need a CD-I Mario stage.

Is it just me, or is Corrin hard to use? Don't know about you guys, but killing sure as hell doesn't come easy. All it takes is a shield and not waiting at the ledge to get F-Smash'd at 70-80. As far as I've heard, people make it seem like everything Corrin has is free, and thereby "easy" to pull off.

EDIT: It might sound as if I'm ranting, but I'm not. I'm just giving a little insight. I've been hearing that some people think Corrin is potential High/Top tier candidate. Not only is it super early for that, but their case is usually that Corrin has silly gimmicks and stuff, like F-Smash, the Dragon Shot, Dragon Lunge and stuff that aren't actually all that easy to just do. You know, unless it's For Glory.

I saw one that really gets to me as a Charizard main.
But then Charizard becomes Charizard X.

Not looking at For Glory, Corrin does have potential to be a high /top tier. Dragon Lunge can really control the stage if you know how to use it right, D-tilt is your best friend, Corrin has amazing F-air combos. There's a whole 4 paragraphs on Corrin's pros and cons which you can find here: http://www.ssbwiki.com/Corrin_(SSB4). Overall, i do feel that Corrin is a high tier. Maybe even top tier. Remember Melee Marth? He was a top tier. He had a lot of range but mediocre recovery. Sounds similar to Corrin. If you want to improve your Corrin game, try watching a few of these videos.

Aww Gurei is Asugi... Usagi would have been better..
Asugi. Switch the A and the S, then switch the S and the G and then switch the I and the U, then switch the U and the S and you get Gaius. I think i did that right. But i agree, Usagi would've been better.

I now have Fates pre-purchased and loaded. It says 6 more days on it. I don't want to wait though. It feels so close now.

At least this week is a 3 day weekend. So less days of schools. Tuesday will be a nightmare though.

It's amazing who shows up in video games these days:

Idk why people say that Corrin is high or top tier. I really don't see it myself, and either way it's still very early in her (and Bayonetta's) competitive life. It's clear that she's not in the bottom half of the cast, but the upper half is still wide of a wide range of viability.

Also Armagon Armagon I'm not sure that the comparison to Melee/Brawl Marth is the best one since iirc Melee/Brawl Marth had some kind of absurd aerial frame data and that's a lot of what made him so good (someone feel free to correct me if I'm misremembering or something).

Corrin definitely isn't S-tier material, nor A-tier material. But the B-tier seems about right, based on what I've seen and analyzed while using him.

Like the title of this social says, it probably because Corrin seems to have a lot of options. Especially with great specials like Dragon Lunge and Dragon Fang Shot. There is quite a bit of tech for those moves, (don't know how useful some of those are, but hey, options at least), as well.

I personally see her potentially being in high B/B+ Tier. Hopefully thats what she is at least. I really like how Corrin plays, feels really good.

I think most of the people complaining about her are making the mistake of trying to rush her down relentlessly, and thus let her pull silly things off.
See: Counter Surge.

I had a feeling Yuri Lowenthal would be there. Also, i guess Anthony Del Rio doesn't voice Silas.

Acclrding the the Smash Wiki, Melee Marth currently ranks 3rd place on the tier list, in the S-tier. This is due to fast overall startup in his attacks, long and disjointed range, large amounts of additional power when attacks hit at the tip of his blade, very potent juggling and combo ability with undoubtedly the longest non-disjointed grab ranges, and great edgeguarding capabilities. Marth is also blessed with a multitude of good movement options to approach and pressure with.
That sounds similar to Corrin. Corrin has relatively fast attacks, a long and disjointed range with a tipper effect, he can juggle succesfully with U-Air and combo with D-Tilt, can potentially edgegaurd with DFS, Dragon Lunge (If landed correctly) and F-Smash and he has good movement options (Dragon Lunge) and pressure options (Spamming DFS). The only thing that invalidates my argument here is that Melee Marth had wavedashing while Corrin does not.

If you put it that way, any character sounds great. Did you know DK & Bowser can literally kill you out of 3 Grabs? Not only that, but their Grab is actually pretty viable (especially Bowser's Pivot Grab). What you're saying is all great in paper, but it's really just a huge strawman. Comparing Corrin to Melee Marth is waaaaay too much of an overstatement. Like you said, Marth is Top 3. Marth has good matchups against the Top 5, has great Grab combos on them (including a chaingrab), insane edgeguarding capability as well as pretty much garanteed juggles.

You paint Corrin's pros as if it were a perfect picture, when it is far from the case. For one, we can't approach. We really can't. Remember Melee Marth? He could literally just throw out F-Airs. We can't. It only takes a Shield up to be able to tell Corrin isn't broken. A Shield means you can easily shield any slow Dragon Shot, not get randomly Instant-Pinned 24/7 (that's also not this awesome "stage controlling move" you're making it out to be", not get F-Smash'd across the stage and most certainly not be caught by random aerial moves into strings. Corrin's kill power is also heavily hindered by non-tippers and the fact that, once again, a semi-competent player will either shield or not wait at the edge to get randomly F-Smash'd. Yeah, so far, Corrin seems pretty solid. But you are ignoring the things that really ruin an apparently perfect picture. Corrin is far from being Melee Marth.

And by the way, I'm not some random For Glory kid crying about Corrin being broken. I'm actually in a competent scene where all the things you see in those videos sure as hell won't work. Because, again, it only takes a Shield to beat.

Corrin relies heavily as hell on a read to get a kill. Most of the time, I find myself in a situation where my opponent is at ~120+% and I find it extremely hard to close the stock unless they commit a mistake. It makes me wish there was some power shifting from Counter Surge into tippered Up Smash and untippered/sword Down Smash.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing Corn, and I love their playstyle. But not being able to close a stock even when the opponent hits nearly full rage unless a hard read is obtained is painful in a game where stocks can be taken away by a mindless kill throw.

That's the thing, it's not nearly as simple as it seems. For a character with kill moves across the board and insane disjointed hitboxes, you'd think you're set. It's all great in paper, but it really takes a ton of different variables to be perfect:

- Dragon Shot is really easy to Shield.
- The Smashes really do take hard reads to land. Our best Smash at catching landings is probably F-Smash. And even then, you have to read the opponent's Jumps, their DI and wether or not they can B-Reverse away to safety. An Airdodge to the ground almost sounds like a safe call, but you have to tipper. Similiarly, D-Smash requires you to predict and Airdodge towards the you and to the ground, and the attack can't hit you. Oh, did I mention it has to tipper?

Well i only stated Corrin's pros. I can list his cons as well. Corrin's got a mediocre recovery and its kinda perdictable, can't really get early kills without tippers, DFS doesn't really have any good follow ups because of end-lag, doesn't have any real combo throws. Match-up wise, this may be just me, but Corrin seems to struggle against Mario, Cloud, the top 3 S-tiers, and spammy characters like Toon Link. I wasn't trying to make Corrin seem like this God-tier character. But i pulled my research from the wiki so that's why it looked like that. After re-doing my analysis on Corrin, B-tier definitely seems like the most reasonable spot for him. Corrin is good but he's not broken (if people think Counter Surge is broken, they should try grabbing. Grabs beat counters). I'm sure Corrin's flaws will be exploited eventually. Also, i never said you were some For Glory kid.

That sounds a lot more accurate. B sounds pretty reasonable.
I know you didn't say I awas a For Glory kid, but I got that impression on the semi-lecture, lol. We're good. (: Just clearing insight on our character.

It's all good. I was just trying to help out. I will admit though, most of my first-hand Corrin experience either comes from playing with friends or For Glory although i do learn more by watching those tournament videos. I consider myself to be a competitive player but i haven't been able to go to any real tournaments for a 3 reasons:
1. There are none near where i live (that i'm aware of).
2. School gets in the way.
3. I only have Smash 3DS. If i were to go to a Smash Wii U tournament, am i allowed to connect the 3DS to the Wii U to use it as a controller? Because Gamepad's too big for me, GameCube controller feels weird (especially how you have to really push in the L and R buttons) and Pro Controller......i haven't used that. The only controller i'm comfortable with besides the 3DS is Wii Remote+Nunchuk.

I actually play a ton of 3DS...when I have the game (I lack a WiiU as well). It's actually very good practice if you're pretty used to the controls. They aren't as bad as people make it seem, but XL is definitely inferior to the first model in that aspect. And even then, being able to lab characters is definitely a thing (which would be insanely helpful, at the moment.

About 3DS in tournaments, I'm not entirely sure if it's allowed. I don't see a huge drawback as to the organizing. It's a simple, quick process no slower than configuring your controller+tag (considering 3DS player don't really need this). I mean, 3DS players are also very rare in the U.S. In Argentina, they're actually fairly common.

Do throws stale?
I want to know if I should be using U-throw or D-throw to get opponents into the air. If throws stale, I'll be wanting to use D-throw, so I can save U-throw for when I need it.

So you guys remember how Ashura was renamed to Shura in the localized versions? But Shura was already a class? Well, the Shura class was renamed to Oni Chieftain.

Yeah, i don't see why it wouldn't be allowed. Considering players are allowed to set controller settings, change the music and create a tag before the match, i don't see why using the "Connect to 3DS" option wouldn't be allowed. Gameplay wise, The only problem with the 3DS is that miss-inputs are more common because of the circle pad. But other than that, Smash 3DS is fine. Also, you said "XL is inferior to the first model in that aspect". What do you mean by that? I thought XL is better because bigger screen=seeing the characters more easily.

The circle pad is much better in the normal 3DS. It's a little bigger and I think the XL's one is also a little stiffer. With normal 3DS, it isn't much a hassle to play, really. Some things even come easier for me, like MK & ZSS U-Air combos. You also further expand my point as to why 3DS has no real reason not to be allowed.

I found that removing the rubber thing on the original 3DS circle pad makes it more responsive. The New 3DS XL circle pad, at least to me, feels just as responsive as the original 3DS circle pad without the rubber.

The size, I mean. It's bigger on the original 3DS and probably slightly deeper. Makes all the difference.

My circle pad broke off, so I'm using the little stub that's still intact.
I just can't reliably Smash attack with that thing. My dog also chewed the top part off of my Gamepad's control stick, so I'm just left without any real controllers.

Maybe I need to get used to using the classic controller.

Bottom of B on the 4Br tier list looks about right for Corrin. Has characters with a couple noticeable flaws that are out weight by noticeable strengths. He feels right above or around falcon to me. But potential may die out, or be better than expected. Tis barely past week one (Corrin has been getting decent results though). Im really looking forward to seeing Ryo push Corrin aswell. It's already almost as good, if not as good as his Ike.

Speaking of Dragon Fang Shot, I think that Rosalina users need to be very careful that they're not too close to Corrin when he uses that move, as even if Rosalina Gravitational Pulls the energy sphere, she'll still be at the mercy of the incoming bite attack if the sphere doesn't hit Corrin right back.

I don't actually have a controller for the Wii U outside the gamepad, so when I have the occasion to play with the 3DS I immediately use it because I find it very comfortable (even if it's a New 3DS XL), I also think the Circle Pad is great, mashing out from a grab is a lot easier on the 3DS because of it.

And probably the 3DS is not allowed in tournaments because is wireless and it can have some input lag (like any wireless controller but whatever)

Today we're having a tournament all the way in Miami, and it turns out I'm not going. Can't blame my ride, either. It's 40+ miles and around an hour on car. It doesn't help my ride is only taking me as a favor, so I don't want to be a whimsical child about it, either. I felt a little down for like a minute, then I just sucked it up and was borderline on wanting to spend on a used Smash 3DS. That's how desperate I am to play. I want to get better, I want to play.

I'll just have to plan ahead, next time. But I was really looking forward to today...

LAST MINUTE COMEBACK
I'M GOING

AND I'M GETTING SMASH 3DS TOO

So an iteresting tidbit cam up on the Kill %'s thread and I was wondering if you guys knew about it. After testing to make sure, It's been confirmed that Neutral B's bite acts like Ikes Neutral B in that 3/4ish charge actually has the most knockback. So are you guys gonna try and practice the timing to get the right charge? Or just go for the 20%?

How much of a difference does it make?
