http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVAaz9vFdSoDoes anyone know the fastest way to break in a GC controller?
Because my old controller that was broken in doesn't work anymore
Haha I hear that! I've had to super glue my joystick rubber back on soooo many times... I've even had to replace the c-stick because I had worn the rubber down completely on all sides.I actually needs to stop this; every controller I play melee with starts to just break. lol
The rubber grip on the control stick keeps ripping off for me. My first controller lost the grip completely, so every time I play with that one I get a blister.Haha I hear that! But for breaking it in, you should probably just play a lot. I've heard of some people using a rubber band or something to keep R pressed in when they're not playing if they feel the spring is too strong lol
wtf. lmfao was totally not expecting that.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVAaz9vFdSo
Or just do lots of tech-drills and let other people play with it / break it in for you :-\
just get used to not having a grip. I have a slight callus on my thumb but I feel like I get more precision... idk I flick the stick a lot for pivots which involves letting the stick go, and it's easier to get back on a flatter, smaller stick head. The rubber grip on the control stick keeps ripping off for me. My first controller lost the grip completely, so every time I play with that one I get a blister. Then my silver wireless's control stick stopped staying in neutral; whenever I move it, it doesn't snap back to neutral anymore, so even aiming and selecting a character is weird now. Also, I can't wavedash/do anything technical on that controller because of it (sucks because it's the only one that has a grip.
Then I had a 3rd party controller (brandless) that lost its control stick grip as well (because of hallmates).
The one I play now is starting to rip as well.![]()
Yeah, I mean I can play on it without the grip and do everything just fine. It just kinda hurts and I would rather not. That said, I'll take a grip-less over one that isn't centered any day. It's not that it doesn't have a grip that bothers me, rather it's the fact that I'm actually destroying them. I mean, what's the next thing that'll happen? Shoulder buttons getting locked? Whole stick breaking? Idk Maybe I just play too hard on them.just get used to not having a grip.
