looks cool, but are the joysticks gonna be sticky now cuz of the paint?

Also, here is my wavebird. When I first got it, I colored part of it black with a sharpie so I could distinguish it from my brothers, and a lot of the black faded now because of using it so much lol

The l and r buttons would scrape off eventually regardless, so I'm pretty sure thats why he may have left them gray, and the one you see colored should be the Z button.

when painting your controller do you have to take out the "guts" of the controller???

That's what happens when you use permanent markers like Sharpies on plastic. They wear off if you constantly touch it.

I like the controllers, especially those with car paint

i think itd be sick to have a white controller and use blue sharpie on it. that way it would wear off and leave a sweet blue/white effect.
but that's just my opinion cause I'm... blue/white obsessive. my shoes, my room, my hat, my everyday outfits, my avatar, my sig, my name/post text, EVERYTHING about me is blue and white. ima try it. maybe.

i dont like the red blue and yellow one. i like the IDEA cause its a triad and everything, but ive never been a fan of the primary color scheme. my favorite by far is the secksy b&w one. no surprise that you sell these.

I think I'm gonna buy a Wavebird. If I can, I'll also buy some car paint instead of regular spray paint. I'll probably do green on top and dark blue on the bottom. Other effects I'll add are white A, B, X, Y, L, R, Z, and START buttons, along with switching out the C stick with another analog stick from my older controller. I might not do this because of tournament rules. I'll post my results as soon as it's done.

Btw, green, blue, and white are my high schools' colors. That's why I picked them. ;)

Awesome stuff. I reallly like that turquoise color on the controller.

Man... if I knew someone here in NY (or even NJ) who could do stuff like this, I'd pay them to pimp my controller...

Lil B, that controller looks amazing. I really would like to have a different color controller, but I don't like the glossy finish on some of those. Also, different color buttons are the shiz. :)

What is the generally accepted best method to use painting these controllers?
I have painted 3 controllers so far using the guide posted on the Melee boards. They were all fairly successful, but now a lot of the paint has worn off and they don't look nearly as good as they did.

I've heard that the best thing to use is Vinyl Dye, because it actually dyes the plastic, rather than just adding a layer of paint, thus it doesn't wear off. Can anyone confirm this works?

Also, lil b thats a sexy yoshi controller right there.
