For about a year already the rubber/grip on my control stick has been teared off. It started to peel off after about 3-4 years after I bought it and then it started to become an annoyance during gameplay. Is there any online store which sell these?

You'd have to buy a whole new piece, probably better to buy a new GCC or take the stick from a less used controller. Or you could try something different and use the nunchuck's stick or something. You'd most likely only find the stand alone piece (might come with a few other pieces like an extra Z button ect). on Ebay, or Amazon, or whatever.

First priority should be a Tri Winged screwdriver if you don't already have one. ****'s like 3 bucks anyways.

Rubber came off my control stick from Melee days, just got used to it. Can't play any different now lmao.

I thought I was the only one to have the GCC rubber from the control stick tear off. Got annoying at first not having the comfy rubber beneath my thumb, but I got used to it.

this has happened to me a bunch of times

i used to replace the whole stick, but this time when it happened i tried super-gluing the rubber back on to the stick and it works 100% perfectly.

just pick up some regular super glue at CVS or something, put a gob of it on the plastic stick, put your ripped up rubber pad on and hold it steady for 10 minutes or so. when the glue seals your controller will feel exactly like it used to.

Replace the analog stick entirely with one from a wiimote or a classic controller. It's more solidly made.

Seems like a good idea. Do they fit as nicely though (just wondering if the actual control stick is the exact same size and shape)?

I kinda got used to the bald control stick. I actually play better without the rubber than with a new controller. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing though :bee:
