You might not be able to do anything to it though.....don't get too excited. Most likely, they are shipping the psp's now above firmware 3.70...If its above a certain firmware...he cant do anything to it. I forgot what the limit was to initiate the downgrade (because I was on the lowest since day one) but i'm pretty sure you wont be able to hack it.


Edit-Go to gamestop or something and search for the psp with the lowest firmware to ensure you'll be okay.

pandoras battery simply recovers a bricked psp...thats if its inoperable...which a new one is not. In order to get to a custom firmware....to get a hacked psp.....you need to downgrade to 1.50 (your best, SAFEST option) and than upgrade to custom firmware 3.52...and than 2.70 (the latest) so you can play things such as FF-crisis core etc etc and avoid the sony "updates." Your alternate choice-download all of your games on a 4gb but that will limit your rom library...or whatever application you want to put on the psp. The newer the game, the bigger the file size. The early psp game ISOS were easily like 100-200mb which was awesome...now they are using more of the capacity on the UMD and all that junk.

I'm only looking to get FF7 and crisis core, which are like 3 gigs total i'm thinking?

and then that leaves 1 gig for cool stuff XD

blah, so what firmware am i looking for?

Just try to get the lowest possible firmware...thats all you can really do at this point.

HIGHER FIRMWARE=BAD.

I've been with the psp scene since its launch......its a hell of a system that is severely underrated. Its my second favorite system to hack. (Xbox owns all) Yeah, FF7 is going to cost you around 3 gigs for sure...what i do though is put one disc of FF's on at a time.....so like when i beat a disc....i then delete that disc and get the next one ready...saves you all around space. If it is a two dis cgame...i usually just make it one eboot.pbp (what the file is called that is launched)

Anyway; if you need help finding applications, roms, emulators, help with installations, or just help in general...let me know and i'll help you out.

losing a match thats laggy as **** to a spamming pikachu and losing 130 xp, is probably teh most ive ever gotten pissed at a video game. ever. im still pissed, and that was like an hour ago. ****

My first set today I lost 120xp to a Fox with high lag. It was dumb and he sucked sooooooo bad but I couldn't do anything about it. :embarrass

gamebattles weird my first match was laggy as hell and i lost 2-1. lost first game lost won second. for the third round he went pit and spammed arrows which i could block thank to lag. and apperently i lost a match the other person never showed up for last month.wtf
