Down the street from where I already live in Stratford, lulz.

Also, I'm DEFINITELY coming up to WPI sometime next school year. I forgot to this last year apparently.
Yeah. I'm in East now, so yeah.
Food and kitchens and stuff.

yea, probably, I just found it amusing and then remembered that song and thought it might be a more well known saying that I had never really heard of. then i looked up that song again and heard the soundclip at the beginning and figured that maybe it was originally from Chasing Amy. *shrugs*

How do other people feel about Kevin Smith btw? I never feel like I really love his movies, but I still usually like them and get drawn to watching them when given the choice.

I feel like he's comparable to music you're into when you're 15 or 16. You're just discovering there's a world outside the mainstream, but you're still too naive to know it's pretty much complete crap.

Used to be a big fan. Now I wish he would move to ****ing Saturn. I could say a lot on the subject but I don't have the time to type it all out today.

edit: how is the new Smash Bros on both the 3DS and Wii U? Is it the same game? What?

well part of that has to do with his newer stuff being lackluster, right? just briefly scanning imdb/wikipedia, it seems like his career has been all downhill in the eyes of critics since Clerks II at the latest, and possibly even as early as Chasing Amy.

Chasing Amy is probably his best received movie. Well, probably tied with Clerks (but that was just because it was a total left field self-financed indie etc).
He didn't have much elevation to begin with, but it all went south starting with Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (even typing that title makes me embarrassed a little).

I didn't like J&SB when I first saw it, but it was the 2nd of his movies I saw after Mallrats, sooooo maybe I just missed it all. Still seemed like it was just crude for the sake of being crude. Clerks II seems to have gotten really really mixed reviews, I kinda wanna see it just to form my own opinion.

When that movie came out I thought it was the funniest thing ever. Then, I didn't watch it for a long time and saw it again recently and wished I call my former self a moron.

I don't get the Clerks 2 hate. I thought it was a decent movie. Nothing special but not worth my hatred.

I feel like the new Smash Brothers will be better than Brawl...but the WiiU doesn't/won't have Gamecube controller slots...

I think what was implied or something was that the games were the same...but I think it was like...you can use the 3DS as a controller? Or something?

I just hope its portable on its own.

And good Wifi.

I feel like it was Smith apologizing for his own ineptitude and invalidating Clerks. Hey my life (read: movie career) is horribly ****ty, but at least I CHOSE it to be that way.
Also, there's a guy ****ing a donkey for laughs. :glare:

Yeah, WiiU/3DS sexing will occur
...but if it's portable on its own, it would be the same game...?

Never been to Moe's. Quick, Alex, what should I order?
nachos or burrito...if the latter get plenty of rice. also a side of queso (again, if not the nachos) since it is BALLER

moes>freebirds>baja fresh>qdoba>chipotle is my general tier list for fast food southwest/texmex grill places...i still don't understand the chipotle craze. *shrug* to each his own.

So a new gaming center will likely be opening within the next year in Waterbury, with my friends at the helm.

As such, there will be Smash tournies run and organized by me once they open.

Can I count on some CT people to come down? I'm not expecting people who like way the **** out by RI, but people who are otherwise closer?

I'll be trying to bring NY as well, as getting here via train is pretty easy.

Humerous but endearing. Know the crowd, don't do anything your grandma wouldn't wanna hear. Do a few one liners.

I can send you the one I did for my brother as an example, as I must say that I killed it with my relatively conservative family?

Have to write a best man speech by tomorrow. Suggestions?
to add onto what HAB said (all solid advice):

whatever you do, don't just wing it, don't have more than 2 drinks prior to it, and don't use inside jokes as more than just a sidenote. make sure you talk about both the bride and the groom in your speech and practice it at least 3 times prior to giving the toast so that you know how it flows. dunno if you're the kind of person who cries, but if you cry at anything, you will start to break up at some point during the speech, so just expect it and be ready to get through it, as no one wants your toast to end halfway through. try to keep it < 5 minutes if possible. bring as much paper up as you need to be comfortable (not everyone's a great public speaker and if you need it verbatim in your hands, just do it, no one's judging you on that really), but try to make as much eye contact as you can with the bride and groom without flubbing the speech.
