I think that's completely ********. Bale isn't responsible for sh*t. The director/producers are the ones mainly resposible for a film. Bale gets paid regardless of how good his performance is or not. There's really no "pressure" at this point in Bale's career. This isn't his first film and he's already filthy rich, so he's got nothing to worry about. He could walk off set and it wouldn't matter. If a scene is bad cuz someone f's up, you do another take, big whoop. In fact, you do as many takes as the director says. Clearly he was having a bad day, and the dude stupidly walked in the back of the set and it set him off, then he took it waaaay too far(cuz he's basically a prick IRL), case closed.
Let me clue that guy in and tell him, i'd keep my sh*t together for 20 million a movie. That's what actors get paid for, keeping their sh*t together, if you can't, how can you act? Also, this idiot producer didn't explain what it's like when we yell at our job. He said he was going to explain the difference, and then didn't. There IS a big difference. When we yell at work, it's because someone isn't doing their job right, and if we react the way Bale did, we'd then get fired. But like i said, Bale has no worries, he can say and do whatever he wants and get away with it. If Bale can't be fired for what he did, then what on earth does he have to feel pressure about?! Man i wish i could just publicly humiliate other people whenever i want and get away with it...but then my multi-million dollar lifestyle would just have waaaay too much pressure @_@ ughh. Hollywood=buncha babies.
