Combo or not so much?

Falcon can stomp fox or falco into a falcon punch at a small % margin (~70~75). Is this a legit combo?

not sure if it actually combos, but it is legit if the opponent doesn't DI the dair.

tapion punch ftw ^_^

true, but the stomp is often unexpected and too fast that you'll get either no DI or a really bad DI and land the falcon punch the majority of the time. i think...

Yeah, it works if the opponent doesn't DI at all. I try to stick with the knee, unless trying to be funny because when people do DI you can still hit them with the knee. Falcon punch...not so much.

Yeah, knee is much more reliable. Falcon punch is for sexy shock value (which I prefer anyways)
You can psuedo-tapion punch other characters through platforms at higher percents too.

Don't forget you can do it to falcon too. All three FF can die to that w/o DI. I remember when Eazy first showed me I didn't believe it was real.

What's better is on YS (and maybe other platform stages IDK) Gannon can Dair through one of the lower platforms into an Uptilt as they fall back down. Again, this doesn't work if they DI at all.

Nope. Warlock punch can indeed be comboed into. U-tilt works and is even slower. You don't need to edgecancel the stomp to do the WP though.

Stomp->Taunt->Knee also combos at high enough damage through a platform. I don't remember when exactly.

I know I did the platform dair>punch in game to a link. I think it was maybe 60-80ish percent. I assume he DI'd but I wasn't really thinking about it at the time, so I didn't ask or anything. But on fast fallers, yes, I think it at least often works if it's not a combo.

LOL, I actually combined that idea of using the rising platforms on DK64 with the edgecancel + hitting them on the ground underneath and through the platform + hitting the very tip of Falco's foot as it stretches upward during his u-smash.

If Falco fell just a tiny bit faster or stayed stunned for an extra frame or 2, then Stomp->Taunt->Falcon Punch would actually be a 'legitimate' combo =(

What Falco's don't try to randomly u-smash the air on that part of the stage when the platform is also in just the right position and their damage is at some specific number in the mid 100s? **** happens all the time.

Falco - [110-130]
110-114 (Shorthop Knee)
115-124 (Fulljump Knee)
125-130 (Double-jump Knee)

Fox - [105-116]
105-112 (Fulljump Knee)
113-116 (Double-jump Knee)

Falcon - [123-132]
123-132 (Fulljump Knee)

If it's on something like Battlefield they'll get hit from further below you and end up lower at the same point in time during knockback, so the numbers would go slightly higher. If the stomp is stale they'll need to have a few extra points of damage on them to make up the difference since I checked it using fresh stomps. Also if you happen to edgecancel the stomp it can work at lower and higher damage ranges.

now that i think about it fsmash would probably work too. i'm not sure when, i would imagine the move comes out faster than shffl knee... worth a shot. knee is cooler tho.

ok this thread is a bout to die prepare yourself XD

it is a legit 2 hit combo from 80-85% if they dont DI anywhere

if they DI up is a combo at 75-80%

so i think it actually depends on DI of the opponent or it wont combo, just will hit the Dair and falcon punch.

Now just imagine if Marth/Fox had quicker taunts. =P

In fact, if this game had taunt cancels, that would be pretty cool.

the only taunt cancel i know is with pikachu. prolly works with pichu too. idk. anyone know any others?

Well with no DI stomp-> punch works at 80 on another falcon and is legit. That's all I know though
