I wonder who LSU is gonna play for the SEC championship. UF doesn't have control of thier own destiny, so I doubt that they will make it in.

Its either UT or UGA, and personally I would rather play UT. They just seem less threatening for some reason.

@ Mad Hatter: sorry about Ark. :p

and BTW. 10 of the 12 teams in the SEC are bowl eligible. ITs clear that the SEC is the ebst conference.

Yeah, we are still bowl eligable but its some crappy bowl like "The Freedom Bowl." And if we do go its going to be against some pushover school. I just feel bad for DMac and Felix. Horrible coaches really hurt their performance this year and they wont stick around next year for the new coach.

I'm hoping LSU loses one game before bowls start, then my Sooners have a much better chance for the national championship game. First, get by Kansas at least, which is their last regular season game and might also be the Big 12 championship game.

Go MICHIGAN! They're only 8-3 because Hart and Henne haven't even played an entire game together all year! Injuries are bringing them down. If Hart and Henne can both get healthy, then come this Saturday, the Wolverines are sending OSU to the toilet bowl.

You can talk about the App St. game all you want. It doesn't bother me. Everyone knows Michigan looked past the game and didn't even try. If they played each other again, Michigan could blow them out 70-0 with ease.

I know a guy who's a huge Florisa State fan, and he keeps giving me crap about Michigan's loss to App St. Well FSU is already going to the toilet bowl, while Michigan has a shot at a BCS game. If Hart and Henne were healthy all year, then they could have gone undefeated until now, and have the #1 ranking.

I'm not bashing Mich. I'm just asking.

I remeber that he (the coach) got bashed pretty badly, so I'm just wondering if people would get over it.

And would they have beaten Oregon? Oregon is pretty good, sorta scares me that my LSU tigers might have to play them.

When Hart and Henne were both on the field during that game, the Wolverines put up over 300 yards of total offense. When Henne got hurt, they blew it. :ohwell: Oregon is good though. I think they belong in the national title game.

I go to UMass, and when Michigan lost to Appalachian State, it sent a nice warm wave of solace that healed the wounds of losing to them last year in the playoffs.

UMass<App State
Michigan<App State

UMass = Michigan?

Um... no? Did you watch any of the game? Sorry to burst your bubble, but Michigan didn't even try. If they played again, Michigan would destroy them 70-0. Oh, and didn't they go on an 8-game win streak after the first two games? Wait... according to your logic:

Michigan beat Illinois (at Illinois I might add)
Illinois beat Ohio State (at OSU I might add)

So...

Appalachian State > Michigan (or so YOU think anyway)
Michigan > Illinois
Illinois > Ohio State
APPALACHIAN STATE > OHIO STATE? LOLWUT

Yeah, since OSU can't go to the National Title game now, since Illinois pwned them. I think if Hart and Henne are healthy, Michigan wins. Also, there are rumors of Lloyd Carr leaving, and Les Miles coming here. w00t
Yeah...

I believe there is a stipulation in Les Miles' contract with LSU that if he is offered a job coaching Michigan, he can buy out his contract for like 2 million or something. It's only natural that he would want to be the head coach there, he played ball there right?

Obviously Les has kept it all on the down low, as saying "oh, i would go there" seems to *always* jinx that team... plus its the right thing to do as a coach and as a businessman.

I dunno, though. It might just be a rumor that he would actually leave LSU. who knows, really.

He also met his wife at U of M. He's a "Michigan man".

I hope he comes to Michigan. Lloyd Carr should have won 3 national titles with the talent he's recruited.

What a freaking awesome game! Who seen that coming?

It is bitter sweet though. SEC now has no hopes of going to the national championship game yet all my professors will have easy tests next week. I wanted this win and couldn't be happier with the way it came, but I also wanted LSU to get a national title for the SEC. Good luck LSU in the SEC championship and it looks like we are off to the cotton bowl. Hope there aren't any Texas fans here.

Also, McHeisman McHeisman McHeisman!

Haha, even in south georgia people are obessesed with Tebow. They say that he redefines the role of the quarterback, and when I mention athletes like Chase Daniel (quarterback for Mizzou), they either shrug, say "oh, he's good too", or even say "Tebow does it better." =/

The tv announcer during the LSU-Florida game said "Superman wears Tebow pajamas." I think thats the worst I've heard yet.

The only thing that may keep Tebow away from the Heisman would be the fact he is a sophomore. Of course McFadden was a sophomore last year and was runner up. Hes a great player but give somebody who has put more time into the game a chance. McFadden has rushed for over 1,000 yrds for three years now. Mizzou's QB is good but I dont think he could do what hes doing against a real defense.

Huge night in college football tonight! And LSU still has a shot at the BCS Championship game. Here, I will explain my reasoning:

LSU only has two losses, BOTH being in third overtime. LSU won both their division and their conference, the SEC. We're not counting by it, but if we counted by regulation play, LSU would be 11-0-2.

#1 ranked Missouri is about to lose to #9 Oklahoma, which will put them lower than LSU, no questions asked.

#2 West Virginia has already lost to Pitt, putting them lower than LSU, no questions asked.

#3 Ohio State does not need to play, and is a shoo-in for the number 1 spot and the BCS championship game.

#4 Georgia could definitely be jumped by LSU. Georgia has two losses, the same number of LSU. Not only did Georgia not win their conference, but they did not even win their division. The team that did win their division, Tennessee, beat Georgia in regular season. LSU just beat Tennessee in the SEC championship. Although the computers (1/3 of the BCS) will most likely count Georgia over LSU, the writers (another 1/3) on ESPN and CBS have both confirmed that they believe LSU should go over Georgia, and the coaches' poll (last 1/3) could likely say the same.

#5 Kansas lost last week to Missouri, ruining Kansas' undefeated record. Not only is Missouri about to lose by a decent margin, but they are losing to Oklahoma, a well ranked team in Kansas' division that Kansas didn't even have to play! They didn't have to play Oklahoma, and they didn't even have to play Texas. Being completely straightforward here, Kansas was only so well ranked because they had an undefeated record. Now that they don't, and they obviously had an easy schedule, and the team that beat them is about to lose, I believe LSU will jump them.

#6 Virginia Tech is ranked over LSU in the BCS, although LSU beat Virginia Tech by a very healthy margin during regular season play. LSU is only ranked under Virginia Tech because LSU's second regular season loss was later in the season than Virginia Tech's. In fact, all the television writers are not even including Virginia Tech in the race, especially considering that LSU is actually ranked above VTech in the AP standings.

#7 LSU is mah team, baby.

#8 USC is ranked under LSU, but just beat UCLA, a decent team. I believe that USC is actually our opposition for the BCS #2 spot, and they are ranked under us!

I do believe we have a good shot at the BCS championship game, and if we make it, I am almost certain that we are too talented and too fast for Ohio State, especially with our first string quarterback back in the game.

Resurrected.
OSU vs UO was way intense today. Go Oregon for having one of the most popular college football rivalries in the nation.

Oregon state pulled a win in the second overtime.

God why did West Virgina lose to Pitt? All I wanted was a Big East team in the championship game :(

Quick quiz question. When was the last time a two lose team went to the BCS championship game? Very strange turn of events this year.

People are forgetting about somebody. 12-0 Hawaii. Now I dont believe they should go but when I see this I cant help but think about Auburns 13-0 year. They should of went to the championship game and probably would of won it. In reality we all know Hawaii would be crushed by all the other teams but I just wanted to bring that up.

Hold on to your butts kids, this bowl series is going to be crazy.

I just hope that enough commotion is caused by the open BCS championship seat that there is more talk of a playoff-system. =/ (besides hoping that my tigers get another shot...)
