Cleaning up the Pika Boards!

Hello everyone! 5ive and I have been discussing about cleaning up the pika boards. As some of you have noticed, the pikachu guide hasn't been updated for over 6 months. We also have two video threads which share the same purpose. Much of this stuff is outdated and 5ive plans to update everything. In order to tidy up the stickies, 5ive will to revamp the pika guide and create a new video thread (including his video guide). I also plan to create a Stage Discussion for the pika boards.

This is just a heads up to the pika community.

Please don't get mad at me and K2 if we start randomly making new threads. They will have a purpose.

K2's thread will especially need the community's help.

Also, Mods, please help us out and sticky and unsticky needed topics. Thank you.

These changes will probably start the coming Tuesday/Wednesday. 5ive and I both have exams coming up so we won't have time until afterwards.

i agree. way too many stickies on threads that serve the same purpose.

in the end, can we just have 3 stickies at the most? :)

no need for a video thread, mine gets updated and if you really want me to update more, just tell me....if you havent noticed, i am forever on here and the pika boards, you can find me and tell me that i need to start updating it more, this really is my life though, im here in school at smash boards right now.....

It's okay. No offence, but i really don't like your layout either PLUS I'm way more active then you :p.

EDIT:
Just started everything.
Hope to be done before the Christmas holidays.

Lol, 5ive. You might be more active than Neji, but not by much. Either way, what is the point in arguing?

There isn't a need for another video thread. Neji's is fine. He just needs to update it more.

It does matter.
I did some research, and he had 5 posts on the Pika Boards in the past week.

I, on the other hand had 23.

Plus, his topic is very unorganized. Not to put you down, but I think I would do a much better job organizing and updating it. Trust me, this will help the boards a lot.

I very much doubt that. In any case, I support Neji and his video thread. There is no need to take it down.

And only accept tournament videos or really good friendlies. You should rarely take wifi videos unless they are truly amazing or against top players.

Do the rest of you guys want me to create a archive thread? The archive thread will have all the important threads that aren't stickied (many have fallen into the depths of dead threads). This will help keep important threads accessable, without sticking them.

I think... it could replace the Pika psychology sticky maybe? And that thread could be in the archive sticky instead? (I hope PF doesn't come back and kill me for saying that... :()

Or we could just suck it up and have another sticky.

I just feel bad for people who spend lots of time on threads that are really really good but don't get the honor of sticky-dom because there's just not enough room up there. Examples: Muhznit's moveset thread (the only thread with good frame data, people!), SilverSpark's Pika tricks thread, SilverSpark's "Our Pika-Players" thread....

They're all really good resources for new -- and old, even -- players, but they're often pushed back to the second page or farther where, let's face it, NOBODY goes. (Okay, I did, but I was super-lurker extreme.)

Maybe it would help cut down on the spam? That's just my two cents....

5ive and I are just trying to get the stickies updated and such. Most of the stuff is old and it either needs to be updated or replaced. 5ive plans to revamp the old pikachu guide and make a new video thread (combining the two previous ones). I've created a stage discussion thread and I plan to create an archive thread later tonight.

At least the lolz is making my liver feel better. I think I broke it last night... :( That's the last time I go on a crusade for gender equality by out-drinking a frat boy.
