Chun-Li Kicks the Competition for DLC 'work in progress'

Well, Kickers, we did get a lot of Capcom content this Pass. However, I still find it strange that we, after Min Min and even before that in the base game, there are no SF costumes, not one.

So for the fact Pyra/Mythra's Challenger Pack came with almost nothing but Capcom Mii costumes, what does this mean for Chun-Li's chances? I still think she could make it in since there's still no Street Fighter costumes. And she doesn't even need to come with any Capcom costumes since Banjo & Kazooie didn't have any Microsoft costumes with them. I wouldn't say our girl is out just yet. We just got to be patient and wait until the Summer to see how things all pan out.

Just played Street Fighter for the first time! There was a good sale on Street Fighter V that I couldn't pass up. I main Zangief and my dad was kicking my ass with Cammy. Sorry, a little off topic but I wanted to share this somewhere.

I've played a little SFV with my brother and I also played Zangief. He couldn't beat me when I spammed I think his light punch

I like Chun-li and I feel like she definitely deserves(popularity and legacy) the inclusion but I don't want her to be a DLC because I think her playstyle is just going to be boring. Chun-Li has always been pretty contained in the Street Fighter series, rewarding fundamentals over flashy mechanics. I think that would maintain true if she joined smash. I imagine the V-Trigger mechanic is recreated faithfully would just seem goofy in Ultimate as well.

Chun Li just got added to Power Rangers yesterday and I gotta say I already thought she looked fun and she's exceeded my expectations. Interestingly, her button for specials is instead her launcher, while her specials are all traditional fighting game inputs, it's very reminiscent of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 while also forgoing a lot of her weird and janky execution from that game. I admittedly have not played many games with Chun Li in them but this is definitely my favorite iteration of her I've played so far

I tell ya she's in every crossover's roster but Smash's she's got to be coming. Don't know if it'll be in Fighter's Pass two but with a new Switch on the horizon, Smash is going to be experiencing continued support.

I don't think she'll make the cut for Ultimate but I'd be highly surprised if she never got in Smash. It's commonly speculated that if not for the ease of developing Echo Fighters she could've been Smash's 2nd SF rep instead of Ken. It's not a coincidence that when Sephiroth became playable the buzz around her possible inclusion skyrocketed along with Dr. Eggman more than any other character. She could make it in as early as the next Smash game.

Pretty sure Sakurai just said a few days ago there won't be any new characters after fp2
