You do realize I'm a Pika main. :) And it's very, very common for non ROB mains to come around here. Visit more often and you'll see. This thread is an awesome magnet, one reason being because awesome people started it in the first place. XD
Ahaha! Okay, you've a point there. I also noticed people on the R.O.B. Boards are nicer and more easygoing than some others. Maybe it's just me? Who knows? XD

Anyways, see ya guys later. :3

OMG PICHU JC THAT IS WIN.

Pichu's main balancing problem was that some of its attacks hurt itself, and that it was so light a few good hits send it flying. On the other hand it's superfast, supercute, and its attacks kill fast because of its shortcomings. It's still imbalanced in Melee, but if done right, it can be balanced and thus brought back.

I haz opened it.

Pichu will definitely keep the self-hurting mechanic. It's a part of his character. I'm not going to reveal the ideas we've had for him though.

well I mean...I think...You should atleast half it because of the amount of thrown out attack in brawl with no intention of hitting...you can totally rack up hella damage on yourself and then the opponent just get that easy death combo after you at like 70%

The self hurt isn't a serious issue in Melee either. His commonly used moves aren't electricity based. His problems are range and being so ****ed light yet not floaty at all which = dies early and gets combo'd easy.

At least he doesn't have a ****ty shield, roll, and spotdodge on top of being light and easy to combo...

Project M needs to have some way of being able to be used without hacking. It should be a mandatory update on Smash's part.

Nintendo: This hack is so awesome, it's got Nintendo's seal of approval. You must update. No exceptions. We know where you live.

Some things just can't be obtained. ;p

But for those that can, just keep trying! There's plenty more they'll add in the future I'm sure to give everyone their fair chance of having a full row if they want.
Oh hey, isn't that Unobtaniu-

Tournament Organizers used to be the lamest user group to belong to, but I might snatch it up for the postbit...

Dude you're way smarter than some of the people in the BBR. I mean have you seen that stage list?

Unobtainium hahaha
FFFFFFFFFF-

how are u guys gonna balance pichu XD that sounds impossible

im gonna do work with mewtwo though.
Man, I dropped Mewtwo because Link is so much more fun to play as. Moonwalk and bomb shenanigans all dai.

Hey guys, I'm back from absolutely pwning everyone in all matches at the game club. I didn't even have to use my sub-mains; R.O.B. was more than enough. You should've seen their attempts to gang up on me too, and one of the guys tried using R.O.B. just to get even! It was funny. XD

Gloating aside, I'm reading your posts on this Project M. I've recently seen the name flying around, but never got to know what it is. I'm assuming it has something to do with Melee. :3

ROB was always win. I know from experience. The only real annoyance is MK. Trust me. :) Most people just don't know how to use ROB, but when you do, fuuuuuuuuuuu-

And Project M is only the best hack ever in Smash history. It's basically a revival of Melee, with rebalanced characters and inclusions of every new Brawl character. Ask JC for more info, he's the one developing it/hyping it. XD

There's no reason you shouldn't be able to. All you're doing is jumping OoS, and then wavedashing as per usual when you wavedash OoS. Unless they for whatever reason made the first, say, six frames in an OoS jump inactionable, that shouldn't be a worry.

Wow! Seriously?! Oh, I am so hyped now! X3

Unfortunately for me, I haven't touched Melee in years, so assuming I get my hands on Project M when it's finished, I'm gonna have to relearn Melee's mechanics and feel again. XD

Good! :D You'll be even more hyped later then. XD

As for going back to relearn Melee... from what it looks like, you might not even have to do that. It's looking like a jump right in game to me. I'd rather you learn P:M's feel than base it off Melee's feel. But, at the same time, you could go back to Melee just to remember some of the tactics you used and be able to try them out in P:M. It's up to you. XD Might want to do P:M first, so you can learn new tactics first, then go back and add Melee's instead of just trying to use old Melee tactics first.

Well, considering PM isn't really going for originality, that it is bent on imitating Melee down to the minutest of possible details, playing Melee in the meantime isn't too bad of an idea.:p

Sounds like a great idea. By the sounds of it, Project M looks to be user-friendly.

A rhetorical question, but will it have wi-fi capabilities?
