Question: If we are in a certain time period, can we vote for that same time period again?

e.g. we are in 600 AD, can we vote for 600 AD to be used again the same day?

Yes, you may do that.

In addition, I forgot to mention:

We are currently in 1000 A.D.

Make sure to check the original post to get the list of time periods you can vote for.

Well, it's interesting because we kind of have a feel of how each other plays now. Glad to have some experience under my belt this time.

Omni you clearly have a personal vendetta against Chibo, LOL.

What's the best way to get scum hunting started on a first day? Wait for everyone to post first, I suppose.

It's hard to find scum without actual evidence. We can press/lynch inactives only. That's why there's Day 1 played out - to find out people's posting patterns (are they active or rather inactive? Are they posting at certain times? etc.). Additionally to the first night victim actually being able to play at least for the first day, cause it's pretty gay to sign up and get killed off before you can even say 1 single word, lol. Happened to me once, I was not pleased.

Yea, so...

Yea, if someone acts super suspicious, okay. There's that too. I can't edit my posts, hence the sentence "We can press inactives only" - it should've read "pretty much only".

Nothing, really. I just find pressing or lynching inactives on Day 1 a bit more useful than pressing active players and letting the inactives get away with their inactivity.

What do you suppose we do right now then? Too early to judge people as inactive and yet content has to be made somehow...

Wait for everyone to post, I guess.

And ask Omni why he voted for Chibo.

Hey Omni, why you voted for Chibo?

Your logic is seemingly flawed and creates a never ending loop of nothingness. Time paradox much?

Hey Omni, why you voted for Chibo?

He's probably expressing his distaste for Chibo's last performance. LOL @ Day 1 metagaming. Of course, to be fair, it is advisable to let him answer.

Hey Omni, why you voted for Chibo?

pseduscumhunting from all three of you?

it's extremely clear why i voted for Chibo. asking questions you already know the answer to is really helpful

I wonder how many people have already begun to fulfill posting restrictions.

Also, I am SO GLAD I came straight how from school today, lol.
yea i was wondering the same in regards to Edrees posting the world map (and volunteering to post a new one for each period).

@edrees: would u mind if someone else posted the world map @ the beginning of each day? ya know, just to "spice things up"

@pierce: just for clarification why were you so glad that you came straight home from school today? did i miss something

oh hi rajam

1.) how experienced/inexperienced are you with mafia games
2.) why would you vote to travel so early w/o discussing knowing that you can't "unvote" a vote to a new time period

Already the mention of "day" meaning both the days in the game and days in real life had me confused.

Also FOS: Chibo

Why? The game starts, and he only starts posting after Omni votes for him.

Clearly this is a sign of coasting and only defending himself, while contributing nothing otherwise. We must rid the game of this scourge.

Gonna go read up on Chrono Trigger. I feel like a bad person for signing up when I've never played CT a single time lol. I know the mafia rules though, I'm no Raj :)

As for suspicions, I have none at this time.

I think getting at least a bit of an idea about Chrono Trigger might be - due to the time travel stuff and whatnot - a very good idea, for those who don't know the game or haven't played it in a looooong while.

@ Omni, exactly what I was thinking, but to be fair, Edress I greatly enjoy the map and would prefer you post it, restriction or no. And I'm glad I came straight home from school (as opposed to going to a friend's house to train them in Smash) because we started the game. I'm kinda sick of missing stuff seeing as I didn't get to play the last TWO days of the last game.

FOS: Rajam. If this is your FIRST EVER mafia game, I'd like to think you'd have read the rules VERY CAREFULLY, multiple times. Of course, could be a PR.

eh... rolefishing possible PR's much, Pierce? this is helpful to town how?

Your sarcasm is dully noted, Scamp.

You're making it painfully obvious/apparent that you're really concerned about specific time zones. Anything you want to say?

I'm against flavor talk, but in a game like this where flavor seems to be apparent I don't think it'll hurt to touch on a few things (flavor talk in green):

Time periods:
Pre-historic: 65,000,000,000 B.C. - Dinosaur times. Ayla lives here.
Dark Ages: 12,000 B.C. - Dark ages. Magus lives here.
Middle Ages: 600 A.D. - Glenn aka "Frog" lives here.
Present: 1000 A.D. - Present. Crono, Lucca, and Marle live here.
Future: 2300 A.D. - The future. Robo lives here.

I want to assume that Lavos is Mafia since uh... Overswarm's OP seems to make it clear that destroying Lavos is essential. We'll see.

Also, I think we should prevent having our votes tie and ending up in the "End of the World" era. Uh, in this era it's the end of the world and are forced to face Lavos at the end of the world.

Everyone answer this: What is everyone's opinion on time traveling? That is, how should we vote for future destinations? I would ask that everyone release their opinion and refrain from commenting on others' opinions on the matter until everyone has released their thoughts. Curious to see everyone original, specific thoughts without comments until everyone has answered.

this is probably all i'll bring up for the rest of the games in regards to flavor.

Correct yourself Omni.
Magus does NOT live in 12,000 B.c.
He lived in 600 A.D.

Janus (his younger self) lived in 12,000 B.C..

You also forgot a number of characters such as Ozzy.

I do think that time traveling will prove to be influential for certain player's.
If anyone has played Chrono Trigger, they will understand.

i I do think that time traveling will prove very useful in terms of abilities, but also in terms of information gathering too.
I see no reason at al to keep from time traveling, heck Chrono Trigger emphasized its importance, I sincerely believe it will be just as important.

I also see little reason not to make use of time traveling seeing as how we can vote once per day.

On that note, I would like to
Travel: Future 2300 A.D.

At this point in the game, I do think we should make use of Time traveling.
