Character Help Thread read rules first

If you have a problem going against a certain character you should post it here.

Post the name of the character, the things they do that gets you, and some videos if you want.

Hopefully this will work. We have some very great minds in this community and we'll be happy to help(hopefully).

Good idea, but we have an official Matchup thread stickied. I think itll be easier just to read through the matchup thread. This thread can be used I guess as a "How do I get past this, how do I beat that style of ROB or whatever", thread. Maybe thats what you intended this to be, I dont know lol.

that is what its supposed to be. you know how people post new threads like: Im having trouble with MK! Im trying to eliminate that.

im not trying to sound like a hipocrite. i did post a thread called trouble with ike. i realized that it was a stupid idea.

If ZMT did not save your ***, wow I won't describe what would have happened.

Anyway.... get rid of the little face animations not needed, not relevant. Also why would people post a vid obviously they just go to critique thread. If vids were involved this would be wayyy too similar to the critique thread to not be considered spam.

The problem here is critiquing can give you just as much advice if not more then what you are trying to accomplish here. Again this thread may provide more specific info/analysis, but it is way to freakin' close to being just a critique thread without vids.

Also the fact that ppl can just look at matchup discussions directly....

BUT if ppl use it fine... we will keep it or at least I'll support its existence.

I think the quick answer thread already supports the character match up discussion on a personal level.

I feel this topic is redundant because of this. To go further, many people with character issues who get the most effective help from the community post videos... in the Critique thread.

Trying to help a person with a personal issue with a specific character without -help- is extremely difficult. How are 'we' meant to know how to help? Time and time again 'newb' players have gone I DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY I GET OWNED, eventually showing a video where they don't even know that dair isn't an approach, and fsmash can't be spammed. We aren't psychologists, well maybe.

As I said, we already have the quick question quick answer thread, the video critique thread and the individual matchup discussion threads. Hence, I feel this is redundant.

Eventually if it's "important" enough to them, it'll escalate to the video critique thread.

The biggest problem with this is people will run around going, "HOW DOES I BEATS MY FRIENDS CAPTAIN FALCON OMG HE'S SO CHEAP! Only that fails to inform us in ANY way WHY they have a problem and ultimately becomes spam because we start flaming them....although we do enjoy it
