I'm getting flashbacks of Pre-Brawl leaks.

Personally, this reminds me of every other "leak" I've seen. The Chrom one especially.

I think there's actually still a thread lying around here where you can view people's reactions and speculation's in regards to the pre-Brawl roster, and yeah, a lot had similar kind of reactions. Especially when it came to R.O.B.

Actually, I think I missed those Pokemon leaks. I was trying to remain spoil free for that game...

Though it would be nice if this one actually had a character that hasn't already been confirmed on it. I don't think there's anything to actually suggest that it's real apart from looking kind of nice.

This is the exact reason why I chose not to believe, or call this leak fake just yet. I'm going to wait for E3 for that. It could be real, I hope it is.

Everybody's recent rosters lately are becoming safe IMO...but hey, thats not me saying "My rosters better!"

Imma spice it up. Please note that I did this before the leaks were being thrown around

Nope, don't ask me to add Chorus Man, Pac-Man, or Chrom until the leak is true.

I'm not even arguing. Star Fox and Mother are 2 of my favourite series if Lucas and Wolf returned i'd be thrilled. I just don't think they will.

Why? Tink, Ike, and Lucario were all popular characters people thought were gonna get cut, but were confirmed to return. I can see the same happening for Lucas and Wolf.

I agree. Aside from looking nice, there is nothing to suggest that this is any more than a well put together fake. It's just some of the veterans revealed placed in a menu format. I don't see anything that convinces me that it's real.

EDIT: Actually, I just noticed something. In that second picture, the P1 cursor is over Marth's picture. Yet Marth is shown in the Player 2 slot. That's inconsistent. I think this is fake.

You might wanna look at that again. I mean...Marth's P1 slot is right by the Pokemon. The second slot is right where Marth is at. Going to the second picture, the slot is still under Marth, yet you can see three empty slots on that pic. Obviously P1's slot is not shown

There is absolutely no precedent to having the CPU level be so large an prominent right in the center of the selection spot.
And why would a CPU be represented by the Smash symbol and not a CPU icon?
Why would the roster be so short and wide? Especially when there isn't much above or below the roster... how does that make sense?
How can this person leak small pieces of the same picture at extremely tilted angles whenever he wants to? Unless he owns the picture and is choosing to take clear, tilted pictures. Which makes no sense. If Mega Man and Ridley are unlocked in one and not the other that suggests he has played the game for a good amount of time, and has it all to himself, so why small pieces? It's definitely fake.

Blue Ridley isn't enough to make me want this.

Edit: And why would the leak be in English? With full English names? Even footage of the Smash Direct calls Bowser- Koopa. And Mega Man- Rock Man. This was just convenience to the leaker. These would have to be Smash Wii U screenshots, the demo isn't for the 3ds, and the Wii U version isn't just over a couple months away... it's closer to half a year.

Yea, I see the drips on the computer screen now. (Also, that is a Metroid character (Ridley) just look at the icon)
The thickness of the lines on the select slots on the bottom don't look consistent.
That Metroid icon doesn't look completely accurate to the one on the website.
And what may be very helpful to debunk...

These icons don't match the sizes of the ones on the website:

The top of her head is slightly more cut off on the website.

The full top half of the inside of Sonic's shoe is on the website's icon, and the triangle of background inbetween his two pieces of fur by his side is more cut off-

And the same thing can be said for the other couple of icons I looked at. They're smaller icons.

Also, I think Sonic will be named Sonic the Hedgehog because that's what the Website calls him- same with Pikmin and Olimar
And I don't see why every name is in all caps. This would have been easy to make with the right skills and some time. If I had done this, I would have set up a more realistic roster and cleaned the **** off my monitor, whoever did this doesn't really know what they're doing.

Okay, I'm done analyzing this "leak"'s roster. Judging from the supposed "leaked" photos posted here kindly by BluePikmin11...

I would say this is the layout of the roster (the locked characters are represented by cheeseburgers).

After careful analysis, and based on logic and the general consensus on what characters are in or not, I am confident that this is the roster they were going for...

Now that everyone has claimed their burgers, this is what it looks like.

Seems pretty solid, honestly.

Though there's quite a few discrepancies in it involving the players section, so I find it hard to believe overall.

Actually, Melee had locked boxes. Brawl didn't.

I'm taking this leak as a fake so far. I won't take it as anything until we actually see what the character selection screen looks like.

Also even then I don't find that too strange. It always varies when it comes to these type of series. One great example is MK - MK: Double Dash didn't show that there'd be more characters at all, but MK8 goes "Well there's 30" straight off the bat.

Well, its much more obvious when someone like you does it. For example, Chandelure would get more flak for having Bandana Dee on his roster than you would.

This is pretty much my roster without Ghirahim and Dixie
I can take Robin or Lucina over Anna or Chrom, and a different retro... but c'mon Sakurai, make it good!
