Except the actual statement was regarding whether or not Namco characters would be a priority.Sakurai's word is always 100% accurate of course.
"Namco won't get Special Treatment"
Whoops.
Honestly, did you expect him to say something like "yeah we are probably going to put a namco rep in the game, but stay tuned for further details"? or for him to just remain silent? Of course he is going to say something vague. Besides, Pac-man is enough of an icon to get in without Namco's development. Special treatment would be putting in an unknown character like Kos-Mos just because Namco is helping with the game.

I think it's special treatment even if it's not a character, yes.
As I said in my earlier post, Sakurai never stated that Namco wouldn't get any special treatment. He said they wouldn't get any "special consideration for having characters in the game". As far as I know, the Special Flag is not a playable character.
The oddest part of this discussion is I actually agree with this, as I'm a Pac-Man supporter. I'll concede on that special treatment part if it was only intended for characters.
I'd be fine with any of these characters, though I would also love to see a custom robo character

I like the way you set up the rows! I see Lucas or Wolf getting cut before Jiggly, just because she has her own move set already and has been there since the beginning. And I'd replace tactician with Chrom or Lucina (I want anna but that won't happen) and I'd replace bomber man with Pacman (don't really want him I just see him as more likely than bomberman)Here is my last *realistic* want roster :
I know a lot of you will hate me because of the lacks of Jigglypuff, Snake, and Ridley. It's not that I don't want them (Jigglypuf :/) but I wanted 50 characters at most.
My most wanted newcomers are : Isaac, Robin, Mewtwo, Shulk, Palutena.
I really want Hakkun, Bomberman and Lip as the retro newcomer, but I don't think they are likely :/. You can replace these characters with more realistic choice (Pacman, Mii, Takamaru...), and we may have a real prediction roster.
By the way, I tried to regroup the major mascotts in the center of the screen ; and I really like the Villager's row (composed of Ice and leaf characters) and Marth's one (blue, white and yellow swordmans). Do you like this composition ?

Edit: I'd also replace K Rool with Dixie just because I prefer Dixie.

I don't support cuts either, but at some point someone may have to be cut from the roster. But yes, I want at least one of those characters back just so I can laugh at GamesRadar for being wrong at least once more before E3.
No, no cuts. The only one i'd be ok with is the random icon. No cuts. I won't allow it.
I'm hoping that Squirtle and Ivysaur are the only cuts. Plus I like watching R.O.B. kill GamesRadar.
I don't see why he'd get the axe in the first place. It's obvious, (to me at least,) that Kojima's ambiguous response to the question on Snake was an attempt to hide the fact that Snake's in the game. Personally, i'd rather find out Snake was in the game by surprise, rather than have a trailer.
