Heathen!I'd rather have Lucas in SSB than Ness.
Cut both, add Ninten.I don't care which Mother character we have, but I don't think we need both.
Yes, that's true. I prefer Lucas over Ness for many reasons, but Ness is the grandfathered veteran of SSB.If its between ness and lucas ness is going to beat out lucas.
The second O doesn't deserve to be in Smash. It is exactly like the first O. It is a clone. At least D is a semi-clone and plays differently from B.I won't cut five characters, I'll cut six.
1.) N
2.) O
3.) B
4.) O
5.) D
6.) Y
Best list 2014.
We already did.I want 2 Pikmin characters in the game and 2 AC character. Come at me bro.
I disagree that Falco was easier to make a clone than Wolf would've been.I don't think it was prominence or relevance that made Falco the second rep, just convenience. Sakurai made a list of easy clones once he was almost done developing Melee and Falco was a prime candidate to be a clone of Fox. Wolf as a clone doesn't work and actually makes little sense compared to Falco. Although I think if anything, it's because it fits the largely valid pattern Sakurai follows with newcomers, adding the protagonist, then sidekick, then antagonist, more-or-less with every series.
I would have thought that Wolf would have worked better as a clone. You know, considering that Wolf looks a lot like Fox and has a similar body shape.I don't think it was prominence or relevance that made Falco the second rep, just convenience. I concede Wolf has a similar body type, but that's not the only thing Sakurai would've taken into consideration. The villain cannot have the same set as the protagonist unless there are very good reasons for it, like if Blood Falcon came in to take Ganondorf's cloned set or something crazy. Wolf's character would've necessitated, as in Brawl, that he is distinguished from Fox. Otherwise it just seems wrong.I would have thought that Wolf would have worked better as a clone. Going by the proposed information on Melee's development by cednym, this was precisely why Wolf was overlooked. Because he looked quite too much like Fox.I would have thought that Wolf would have worked better as a clone. You know, considering that Wolf looks a lot like Fox and has a similar body shape.
Yeah, was going to say this. Wolf was originally floated as Star Fox character number two, but Falco was chosen instead not because of importance or whatever, but because his jumping and silhouette made him a more distinct option.Going by the proposed information on Melee's development by cednym, this was precisely why Wolf was overlooked. Melee confirmed for being the best Smash.I just felt like I should point this out.
You know how Sakurai said that the ideal number of characters for Smash Bros is 20?
Melee's roster without the clones is exactly 20 characters.
Hey! No smash is in the Hall of Fame without Sonic, King DeDeDe, or WarioMelee confirmed for being the best Smash.
This is a great find.I just felt like I should point this out.

Or Mewtwo. Can't leave that one out, now can we?Hey! No smash is in the Hall of Fame without Sonic, King DeDeDe, or Wario
I can understand that, but seeing as how Sonic has countless close ties with Nintendo, he's never getting cut from SmashSmash could've survived without Sonic. I was sooooo hyped about Sonic's inclusion, but at the same time...I would be fine if SSB was just Nintendo characters.
Might as well just give it time, as I'm sure he'll be a second-party Nintendo character in about five years, seeing how buddy buddy SEGA and Nintendo are.Smash could've survived without Sonic. If Snake had never been revealed, Sonic always would have remained in what can now be considered "Banjo-Kazooie territory," where his inclusion would be nice, but basically a pipe dream that the game doesn't need in order to be of quality.Smash could've survived without Sonic. If that happened, I would be so happy, I'd feel like i could die and that would be all right.Might as well just give it time, as I'm sure he'll be a second-party Nintendo character in about five years, seeing how buddy buddy SEGA and Nintendo are.
Eh, I wouldn't mind.Might as well just give it time, as I'm sure he'll be a second-party Nintendo character in about five years, seeing how buddy buddy SEGA and Nintendo are.
He might have made it into SSB4 regardless with all the other stuff that happened prior, like all the Mario & Sonic Olympic Games and the Nintendo-exclusive Sonic titles. If Snake had never been revealed, Sonic always would have remained in what can now be considered "Banjo-Kazooie territory," where his inclusion would be nice, but basically a pipe dream that the game doesn't need in order to be of quality.
