Olimar is such a regular guy. He has some of the best characterization of any Nintendo character just because of how much of an average-Joe he is. I love him.

His journals in Pikmin 2 are fantastic.

Did Peach and Zelda get in because they were the dames of Mario and Link? No, I don't think so. This argument is asinine, especially the fact that DK and Metroid need another rep far more than StarFox needs a FOURTH rep.

I know! So normal yet so amazing! I being totally serious when I say Olimar is one of my favorite protagonist in gaming history.

I wouldn't bury Geno or Ridleys chances at all just yet. They are in top 5 most requested from Sakurai's Poll. Should be more than enough to reasonably think that Sakurai has acknowledge the demand for them. If more characters are revealed from his list in the future. I think we found our roster.

Lets just wait a bit until Sakurai posts some Star Fox content in his pic of the days. If some of the stages are based on 64 3D, then it'd be safe to assume Krystal's chances will tank down.

I don't understand why Star Fox would deserve a new character more then Donkey kong or Metroid does heck Star Fox is lucky enough to have 3 besides King K Rool and Ridley are far more unique then Krystal could ever hope to be there is my opinion on the subject

I really doubt he is solely looking at the Brawl poll, you know, because that was for BRAWL.

Yes of course im well aware of that. Apart from Wii fit and Rosalina and Luma. I don't see him adding anyone else outside the list. MegaMan, Villager, Little Mac..... I suppose again like I said if he continues to reveal newcomers from the list its probably safe to say he is using the list to put in new comers.

A nice round 50 character amount.
One cut is Snake, which is perfectly understandable. There are more things against Snake against any other character, so if Snake was the only one gone (while disappointing) I would understand why.

Your selection of newcomers are nice, the only one that really catches my eye negatively is Bayonetta. She's not a big name video game character like Snake, Sonic, Mega Man, etc. I would suggest scrapping her for entirely, whether you decide Snake is going to come back or not.
I can see Chibi-Robo happening, and Captain★Rainbow to a much lesser extent. However, I do not think both characters will be added in together at the same time. Since both are characters created by Skip Ltd. and Chibi-Robo is by far the more popular of the two, my advice would be to consider scrapping Captain★Rainbow in favor someone else. But I do think that it would be nice to see Skip Ltd. get a character in Smash Brothers.

Overall an interesting roster with some nice surprises, but I do not see it happening for Bayonetta alone.

Mega Man and Little Mac have been popular for Smash for ages. That's a really weak argument.

I will only believe it if Geno is confirmed.

Unless of course the character didn't exist before Brawl. A Fire Emblem Awakening character or someone like Shulk would be good examples of this.

Like I said earlier, Bayo's a personal want. I almost had the Mii over Rainbow, but I see Rainbow as a character with a decent chance, and the Mii is a mixed bag. Thanks for your input, very nice.

Im not saying that it is a fact he using this list but the characters are from this list. And Yes i agree with you that if Geno is confirmed its probably the case. Didn't he also say he wanted to focus on "reviving old characters" or something to that extent? I know I read that somewhere..... hmm

Remember, Sakurai wants the most iconic, memorable, and recognize able characters in Smash. Bayonetta doesn't fit that, Tails does.
