Uniqueness in NOT what would make Krystal get in. Any character still needs importance to their series, and the franchise still needs to actually deserve a character. Plus, the staff is not the only thing she would use. It's basically magic, the fact that it is elemental and is triggered with a staff does not change that. You can't cover her whole moveset with a staff either.

Don't kill me if I am wrong, I know next to nothing about Krystal. I just hate her.

For all we know, Sakurai might not watch PizzaDudeManGuy's videos about how Ridley can be playable, and the Donkey Kong franchise might not need a third rep. Just DK and Diddy are enough.

Did you really just assume that? Star fox is at the point that people already think that it might even be overrepped. Donkey Kong and Metroid have characters with so much potential and are wanted all over the world. They are huge franchises and are definitely underrepped. I think Sakurai is smart enough to understand that resizing isn't a hard thing to do and that DK is arguably Nintendo's most important franchise of all time. Donkey Kong basically started Nintendo's video game industry.
Also many people are biased AGAINST Krystal, but you are very clearly biased TOWARDS her.

I just said I hardly know anything about her, but everyone is all "BUT SHE IS HOT" and "STAFF STAFF STAFF STAFF STAFF" so I was going with what I know, and what I hear from every Krystal fan. You are clearly the one who is much more biased.

You honestly can't be telling me that a franchise that already has two protagonists, and a major antagonist playable in Smash needs a third protagonist, more so than Metroid needs it's main antagonist, the only other Metroid character that deserves to be playable, and more so than DK needs it's main antagonist?

I'm going to have to ask you to back that up because from what I understand that's not even true. Falco is still second to Fox on the team, has been in a game recently that she wasn't in, and remains much more popular then her.

And, about having never had a female Star Fox protagonist... we've also never had a main antagonist for Donkey Kong of Metroid in Smash before...

They get married in one possible ending, it's not even known if the game it hails from is canon, much less the ending itself.

And being female does not matter, if they're a third or fourth ring character that matters little to the team make-up and plot, they have no reason to get in over much more established and popular characters just because they aren't male. If a character gets in, it should be on their own merits, not anything else.
