I just see a ton of people who's waifu's are Lucina and the niche folks who wanted Robin praise this roster to death.

I wanted Robin AND Rosalina and I can't stand the imbalance in representation.

Niche folks who wanted Robin? That's actually not that niche. A lot of people wanted Robin, especially after Ike's reveal. More people wanted Chrom overall, but Robin's fanbase wasn't that niche. And frankly I myself consider Robin and Mega Man to be the only real redeeming factors of this roster, personally. Well, and Little Mac, but Little Mac wasn't high on my want list at all. I wanted him mainly because I thought he should be in (just like Ridley, K. Rool, and Isaac). Rosalina and Bowser Jr... meh. Duck Hunt? Looks ok, not too fond of it overall. Ganondorf? Worst part about it, but at least he's got at least one custom move that allows him to use his sword .

I actually really like the roster, sadly is true that the character i wanted didn't get in but still i like it and it doesn't bother me the "imbalance in representation", i mean... is not like that was ever a rule

I hate Fire Emblem Awakening and couldn't care less for Dark Pit and Palutena. I lost two veterans that I highly enjoy in Lucas and Snake, the latter being my second favorite video game character. I didn't get my most wanted newcomer (a Rhythm Heaven character), in fact Little Mac is the only character I wanted that got in.

Yet, despite all that, I love this roster.

I mean you can like Robin but he was still niche, Fire Emblem as a franchise is niche and Robin wasnt even the most wanted character for the franchise (was a better choice than crappy chrom tho)

1. Achieved Platinum Status for 2014 Club Nintendo year (between 7/1/2013 and 6/30/2014)

Thank you for the ; that is ungodly easy. I thought I would need to go into classic mode to unlock them faster. 120 matches? It will only take a little over two hours to get everyone. That being said, I might hop into Classic mode as Link to unlock Ganondorf first. If it works like that.

What does that even mean? By that standard, isn't every video game franchise of a specific style a "niche"? Is Pokemon a niche? Is Super Smash Bros. a niche? How would you even begin to define this?

Fire Emblem is a smaller fanbase than Mario, Dk, Metroid, Zelda, Kirby and Star Fox thats the point Im trying to get across.

Fire Emblem is niche in the sense that it applies to a specific audience (turn-based strategy games) and they don't sell the best as a whole (Awakening is the ONLY game in top a million copies sold). To that I agree, the series is in general a niche franchise. Franchises that appeal to a wider audience are not niche. Pokemon appeals to a wide audience, Smash Bros. appeals to a wide audience. Granted, if FE can be considered niche, Golden Sun is even less niche as the first two games sold better than Awakening, the best selling FE game by far.

To be fair, Robin is the best part of the roster.

Custom Specials / Customization are fairly legit. I'm suddenly content with custom specials on Fox & naming it "Star Wolf", customizing Fox however I want to make him "Wolf". I'm suddenly content with all of the cuts. I wanna be the Boshi.

The NeoGAF leak was about Dixie, Chorus Men, Ridley, and Mewtwo. Chorus Men is from Rhythm Heaven, the same franchise Karate Joe is from. Karate Joe is a trophy, but there is no Rhythm Heaven icon.

Your missing 14 of wolfs normals, his specials arent what make Wolf special.

Well, I can't say for certain Fox has "Wolf-esque" custom specials specifically, I was half-way paying attention to the stream & noticed Yoshi's specials with the customization of stats making him slow but more powerful. Apologies if I was implying Fox having Wolf specials via customization. I did not mean to address that.

It is humorous that Fox's "Blue" palette in Brawl is really just pruple & his SSB4 palette took that same palette & made it more "Wolf".

Actually...when they initially announced custom moves, I was worried they'd cut both Falco AND Wolf and give their specials to Fox for his customs. It looks like that is what happened to Wolf and Lucas, though...

It's a conundrum. Wolf is more unique, but Falco is a Melee veteran.

Of course, of course; however, Wolf is already gone. I am just trying to mitigate the loss. To be utterly honest, I was not a fan of Wolf in Brawl. I thought that that move-set was lacking to say the least, I did not become a fan of his play-style until Project M where they fixed his design with the eye-patch costume and his move-set by making it more cohesive. In that way, if I want to play Wolf (Lucas, Ice Climbers, or Snake) again, Smash 4 is not the game for that.

Absolutely not. In which DLC will help sell me, being a loving smash fan, I also secretly desire the nostalgic bonus practices modes, the very best ones.

Really I need more challenges, a less CheesyEasy starting roster (30 at most), I'd like past N64 Stages including Melee ones too. I don't mind if Stage Builder returns or not, but I used to make beautiful stages so, bring it on!

The 3DS version alone is lacking content. Its got WAY less content than even Melee. I think we might get new game modes for 3DS in patches. If the Wii U version is just this with one game mode replacing Smash Run, that's hardly enough content to justify getting both the console and game. They'll need something to sell the game. At least the 3DS can be justified; huge install base, "handheld Smash Bros."


I want to believe DLC is a sure thing, but I'm burned out from character speculation.

No one intelligent will purchase the Wii U version (after the 3DS version) unless they are dedicated fans... the problem is that it does not only need to sell the same game twice, it has to sell the console too.

It would have been hilarious to see a blue Fox costume. No one would be able to tell if it was supposed to be a costume for Falco or Krystal.

I had that feeling as well. Yes the roster has some good characters, but the organization of the CSS leaves me wondering. It's organized chaos, but the clones have always been with their franchises.
