Everyone thought Gematsu plus the all veterans before the Robin reveal was the final roster, it was sad.

I still think this. 48 characters is nothing to be ashamed of, and I'm already happy enough with the newcomers as it is.
At this point, Shulk not getting in would be Extremely crushing disappointing and a rhythm heaven rep is pretty much happening anyway so i'm not worried about that. Anything else will be a pleasant surprise, but i won't be holding my breath.
I personally really like this mindset because at this point it's almost impossible to be disappointed.

Let's just hope that the remaining worthy veterans are coming back, though I am a bit concerned that some of the Brawl newcomers that were available as starters may be demoted to unlockable status for Smash 4. After all, we know what the box arts look like now, and they're likely not going to change at all.

Say what? Lucario has zero personality. In the movie, all he did was spam aura sphere. His expression was stoic the entire time. He was a mannequin out there!

That is what I hate about that movie, what about the six billion other moves Lucario can learn? What about Close Combat, Ice Punch, Dark Pulse, Extremespeed, or Falcon Fire Punch? Lucario is also an emo robot all the movie and war this, aura this and sob and blah this blah the other, Ash Ketchup's idiocy didn't help either, WAIT! Why I'm even talking about a movie made for babies?!

I already admitted my own foolishness long ago. While counting because obvious, however is not Link's clone. at best is semi-clone related from their many differences & mechanics in their moves.

On that serious note, DL would be an alternate palette just like he was in Brawl.

That's essentially fifteen different characters, especially after customizations are taken into effect.

/ having a total of 12 swaps was a lot to choose from two outfits. So avatar-changing characters like & may get a total of 12 or lower, maybe 10. It'd be lame if the palettes were one-sided having more than the other.

With Team Battle's system changed to only the colored outlines, we don't necessarily need Blue, Green, & Red palettes anymore. So that opens up some free palettes

Nope. Clone.
Along with Falco, Wolf, Lucas, Roy, and the like.

A clone does not mean identical. Just like in life, they would share the DNA, but be different entities, have different experiences. No two things would be exactly alike.
The DNA would be like the specials, and the variance in other attacks would be akin to the different memories.

CLONES. ALL CLONES. If people don't like the word, too bad.

I find that decent. But would you put Wolf in the same category of 'Clone' in with Fox & Falco? Falco is more 'clone' to Fox than Wolf is to Fox, so surely Wolf is a sub-category analogy of Clone, being semi-clone. Your characters posted are clones, but the degree of 'clone' can be divergent to extents like / to / . Their standards are not alike, while both are still placed in that main clone grouping.
