Chaingrabs?

I looked around but I've found nothing close to the awesomeness of Magus' chaingrabbing guide on the Ganon boards. So I figured I'd make a thread asking about who Falcon can chain grab and at what percentages til when. I don't know of very many and maybe there just aren't (that would explain the lack of info I've found). But there are a couple, I mean I know Falcon can CG Marth a few times from 0%. I'm curious if there's at least any more little ones like that. TIA

Yeah, marth with d throw, I think mario and semi floaties like mario can be dthrow chained for like a couple grabs like marth. He can get Ganon a few times from 0% with up throw... ummm... there's not really concrete data about this because Falcons don't CG a lot. You can do it to spacies at like 70% or something with u throw.

Again I'm not really sure about these, I dont cg a lot (with falcon) and I don't see a lot of cg in falcon vids O:

Also on Roy uthrow at 0% a couple times and dthrow a couple times after that

What's up, Mr. G?

Yeah, Falcon is definitely more about tech chasing.

But I chain grab/tech chase spacies at high percents so I can set up an Uthrow > Fsmash KO, or a Dthrow Dropzone. Yes I'm an SS fan.

Also against spacies you can Dthrow chain grab at like 90% ish or so.

You can psuedo chain grab Sheiks with Uthrow from like 0-20, and then Dthrow psuedo chain grab. Nubbish Sheiks will get CGed 0-dropzone. It's amazing.

Pika/Pichu and G&W you can CG 0-20ish with Dthrow.

But generally, Falcon has better options than CGing. Like sexy strings of combos. But what really helps is when you CG and they start to realize how to DI, only setting them up for those sexy long combos.

Anyway, hope this helps!

You can chain grab pika/G&W straight from zero (using down-throw) 2-5 times depending on how you follow their DI. Link as well, but at mid-%'s. Marth and Shiek you can CG a couple of times early on with down-throw. Ganon can be CG'd from zero with up-throw, again depends on how early they DI. Spacies you can start chain grabbing using up-throw around 70% or so. You just have to jc grab them again.

Those are just what I can think off the top of my head.

the ganon chaingrabs are inescapable
the falcon chaingrabs arent reliable and are not meant to take someone from low to high percents
instead they're used (ugh...) 'with mindgames' to punish DIs or make ur opponent DI the way you'd like, etc

I believe ganon can be chain thrown with up throw at lower percents, and down throw at mid percents.

This is all you need to know about Falcon's "chain" grabs.

I don't think so, I'm pretty positive you can get two or three grabs. Maybe not. Don't really care, I use these so called not "true" cg's a lot, the DI'ing out of them is situational. They'll work sometimes and sometimes they won't! hehe.

Yeah, those low percent uthrows go straight into nairs which go straight into uairs which go straight into knees.

So why grab again when you can combo?

Like it's been said in this topic, Falcon's CG's are not absolute and are not integral.

I can't remeber what match it was, otherwise I would post a link. But I think it was Isai (Falcon) vs. a DK, and Isai was able to chainthrow to 35%. Was that bad DI from the DK? I may be wrong because I watched it a long time ago, and now I can't find it T_T.

Yeah. Probably Bum. I'm probably wrong about how long he chained grabbed. I watched the video a long time ago, so my memory's probably all messed up. >_>

i dont know the exact situation, but i assume the dk di'ed away to avoid an uair or whatever, which allowed isai to grab him again because the dk didnt go high enough. isai threw him again, expecting the dk to try avoid an actual combo once more, which led to another grab.

apologies if someone's already said this, most falcons i've seen will dthrow, dash dance away to avoid the usual getting up attack, come back and dthrow, and then techchase the techrolls or follow up with a dair or knee at high damage. his chaingrab is pretty easy to di for most chars, and i rarely try it.
