I think it's very good to CG a GW atleast once if he tries to recover with an up-b use the spike again

But if the G&W knows what he's doing, he'll just use his angled up B to snap to the ledge right away.

A good MK will never die from a CG to spike so I don't see a point in mentioning that. And why does putting the MK into a disadvantageous position matter. You can't do anything to him. He'll jump three times and up-B, and now you guys are in the same position. Spiking him to the middle of the stage leaves you some options into either jabbing him and grabbing again, or reading his roll and up-smashing him.
Not only jumping 3 times, but using UpAirs in the process. I've tried to footstool MK's and most have simply used UpAir to get up when they notice I'm coming down to try to off-stage spike. Mindgames = wait a second, but you can't afford to give MK any extra jumps and it would be too late.

I agree with the thread creator (lol). I'd much rather rack up more damage by tech chasing or anticipating the roll/get-up than try to spike him and get no extra damage.

I'd bet a significant amount of money on J4pu being a better Falco than you.

Be civil now.
So would I- does that mean he gets to be a **** to people who've just joined? I know that this single, isolated incident (probably) isn't a big deal, but it's things like this that hurt the community overall. Being better at smash doesn't mean you can just rip on someone else for being new to the community.

Actually this thread asks a legit question. It's hard to say, I mean you can't just say cg spiking off stage is better. The maximum potential there is greater than cg spiking onstage, but the "realistic"potential for onstage is better. Personally I like d throw to DaCUS, but that's just me. But to answer the thread's question, I think for as far as MK goes, dair on stage sounds like a better option.

He asked why people do it and we respond. To reposition themselves. If I'm at 100% percent I'd rather CG > Dair offstage so that I can get the hell away rather than risk MK tech'ing and Dsmashing me or something. At that point, I'm just going for easy and safe damage.

Down air on the stage to tech chases are amazing if youre good at predicting tech rolls. Otherwise, just spike or Fsmash for the free safe damage.
