Cats

I don't really know anything about cats. There are a select few that I like, but I have worked with working dogs all my life so canine behavior is pretty much burned into my brain so when I'm around a cat I'm clueless. Plus I don't really like how their interaction with you is usually to dig their claws into you or bite your hands. They always start out all nice rubbin on you and purrin but pretty soon its out with the claws and teeth. Not appealing to me. Nor am I into the whole sharpening claws on the walls and furniture and marking territory everywhere. But like I said there are a select few cats that I do enjoy, which belong to my friends.

well i love cats they are mor dependent but their are times when they want to be loved a bond with a cat can last a lifetime if you can earn their trust. have you ever given catnip to a cat it does not work on all cats it does not work on kittens ether

There are hypoallergenic cats that you can get, they are just a little expensive and by a little I mean very expensive

i love cats alil too much. um i own 15 cats <.< and the majority of them are bad. though i have a cat looks like my dogs twin XD. 3 are tamed and they liste to me. ^^ i grew up with cats all my life and i really had more then just cats. I us to have chikens,rosters, chicks,sheeps,and lizards as pets. but know i have 3 small dogs,12 fishes (gold fishes)15 cats <3(they might be evil but i love them)and 2 turtles.

I like cats because they respond much faster to reinforcement. With dogs, it takes a while before they understand what causes them to be rewarded/punished.

Also, cats are fairly low-maintenance by comparison, it's easier to get them a designated space for their excrement, they are available without being clingy, they're softer (although you generally don't get as much petting room,) their slobber evaporates faster, and IMO, they're much cuter with much more pleasant noises.

My father owns four cats, and my mother owns two dogs.

were getting a new one but no cat could really replace his cool, humanlike attitude

Aww, thats too bad melfice. My cat is total gangster. It just leaves and comes back in the middle of the night for food. I still love him though
