Well, guys, it's official.

Today is the best day ever/of my life.

CASTLEVANIA JUDGEMENT COMING TO WII!

I know I said in the Ecclesia thread that we'd be getting a Castlevania game for Wii. But seriously, this is way too exciting. A Castlevania fighting game... *tears of joy*

- Characters confirmed thus far - Dracula, Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, and Maria Renard.
- Classic subweapons - holy water, magic spells, dagger, boomerang
- Subweapon use still depends on hearts
- Remixed classic Castlevania tunes
- Set traps, destroyable environments, enemy monsters interfere with battle
- Nunchuck controls character movement, Wiimote used for motion attacks
- Shanoa unlocked through DS to Wii connectivity
- Special move gauge that builds up to a move that is much like a “final smash”
- Character models by Takeshi Obata (Death Note)

Quote from Igarashi “I guess some fans may worry about the game quality, but I am confident that we can achieve a very high-quality game. I think that fans…will see that it stays true to the Castlevania series. Even though this is a fighting game I can guarantee that it will be fun.”
THANK YOU KOJI IGARASHI!!!!

Dammit. Why a fighting game? I mean, Castlevania definately belongs on Handhelds as the 2-D game we all know and love, but a fighter?

I'm not sure about this one...

Yeah, seriously. The only time i'd want Castlevania characters in a fighting game is in, well, A Smash Bros. Game. But I'm at least happy you got joy from this, Cat Fight.:)

I wonder how it will do. I wouldn't buy it thats all I know. I 'd rather play the normal castlevania games.

Haha thanks. :"}

Just the fact that this was so unexpected makes me love it even more. A fighting game with Simon in it (forget about Dream Mix TV -___-) is what I've wanted for so long.

I'll admit I would have enjoyed perhaps a 2.5D side-scrolling Castlevania Wii adventure title or something, but I love fighting games too much. :"P

I'm sorry Wes, but this is easily the dumbest idea ever.

This is like saying lets make Tekken a side scroller.
Tekken doesn't even make a good fighter, how could it possibly make a good side scroller?

Really, coming from someone who thinks being able to play as Darth Vader in a fighting game is a bad idea, I'm not too effected by yr opinion. -___-;

How could this possibly be a dumb idea?...

I'm glad Iragashi took the series for a test drive in a different genre. They already have Ecclesia coming out for DS, why do we need for the Wii Castlevania to be the same?

I'm looking forward to maybe seeing Julius in this game; Simon is the best Belmont by far but Julius is pretty badass. If Alucard has an alternate Arikado form that'd be AWESOME. Also cool would be Soma.

Whoa, this actually seems promising, better than MK Vs. DC anyway.

Since there has NEVER been a bad Castlevania game, and Alucard was the main character in my favorite one I really hope this turns out fine.

As long as they don't use the anime Soma I'm fine.

Reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllyyyy.

I hate to say it but almost any crossover fighting game gets me excited. Even Windy x Windam... That being said, I wouldn't mind playing MK vs. DC. Mosrly because of Batman and Joker. :"}

Although this game will be 10x better. o__o;

Yeah, I was going to say that too but I figured that they'd use the classic Soma for art style purposes.

Tier List predictions based on list? XDDD Including Soma and Julius, of course.

A little bit of new info that was on gonintendo:

Some more snippets from the Nintendo Power article…

- Maria unlocked through DS to Wii connectivity
- special move gauge that builds up to a move that is much like a “final smash”
- some sort of WFC interaction
- character models by Takeshi Obata (Death Note)
- Quote from Igarashi “I guess some fans may worry about the game quality, but I am confident that we can achieve a very high-quality game. I think that fans…will see that it stays true to the Castlevania series. Even though this is a fighting game I can guarantee that it will be fun.”

After reading the new NP I'm kind of worried that the game won't feature any compatibility with the gamecube controller. There's no mention of it. :"{

Although, I recall Naruto CoR doing a sort of same deal. Hyping the Wii controls full force, but still able to play with GC controllers.

I can't seem to find any images of the NP article on google but maybe later I'll be able to take some pics and upload them myself.

Simon looks too much like Light. ;~;

Is anyone else bothered that "judgement" no longer has an e? Rarely do you ever see it spelled with the e after the g. I hate that. "Judgment". It just looks lazy to me.

Anyways, I've never been a big fan of the Castlevania series (I've not had anything against it however) but I'm looking forward to this.

but a pig in the sun
lesse....
Alucard: Looks girly, but still cool.
Dracula: Incredibly awesome.
MisaMaria: Looks like she escaped from DeviantArt
LightSimon: Awesome, but not as awesome as Dracula.

This game is looking pretty awesome. I probably would have bought it anyway though :p.

They should also totally throw in "Classic" Simon Belmont for the lulz.

Maybe it'll be a costume?

The art style for this game is almost sexual. I want this game right now. I just hope there'll be quite a few more characters >.>;

Edit: Don't know if anyone knows this already or if it's been posted, but it seems Judgement will include WiFi versus matches. T^T

Yeah, I want this game too. Before I wasn't to sure about this game, but those screens look promising.

Ummm... and where did you hear about the Wi-Fi capabilities?
