I hope they confirm Soma at E3. If Soma isn't playable.... I'm going to be very upset.

IGN made a comment that hints (heavily) at playable death.

"While those are the only four fighters we can talk about, we did see quite a few familiar faces, ranging from other allied characters in the series (the time of each game doesn't seem to matter in Judgment), a few of the more major enemies in the game, and of course some classic bosses – yes, the one everyone would expect to be in a Castlevania game is there; he's more frequent than Dracula himself."

More frequent than Dracula? Real subtle there guys.

Playable Death lol.

For some reason if there are tourneys for this (well I'll def host some) I can see Death being banned. :"P

They showed gameplay and a trailer at the Konami conference and it looks sweet. They are shooting for 14 playables and if we factor in the 4 confirmed with the characters who are a shoe in (Death and the new girl) then we have 8 other possible characters. Here's hoping for Soma.

Reviving this thread because the game is out now.

IGN gave the game a 7.5, but their review was so positive it sounded like it should have gotten a higher score.

I've been looking at this a lot lately, and I think I'll buy it. It looks pretty fun, and I really like the Castlevania games. I'm hoping more people buy this so I'll have more people to play online.

Maria's got a funny story in this game, and she seems to have an obsession with some... feminine features.

I'm not a Castlevania fan, but I do like fighters and all of the characters look fun and unique enough for me to enjoy them.

EDIT: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=70pyBh_KAEY Epic launch trailer. If the rest of the music in this game is as good as the music in this trailer, I will jump for joy. It also lists all of the playable characters. A decent sized cast imo.

FYI, don't take the 1up review on this game too seriously. Not because of the score, but because the reviewer highlighted some of the problems (mainly the camera) and barely mentioned anything on the bulk of the game. The review was about 3 paragraphs long anyway. IGN's review is MUCH more in-depth and thorough than 1up's even if they were incorrect on a few things.

The only reason I probably won't buy it is that the character models are done by Obata.
