To clarify, when Judo realized he was the one who had paused the game (accidentally, mind you), he said "I paused, I lose." You can hear it in the replay actually.
Turns out I'm subscribed to all the PR threads and know about what's going on in one of them!
Yea if I hear one more person say I paused on purpose............ lol
I did NOT pause on purpose in fact this is literally like the 10th time I have said this on the boards. I was mashing Usmash with the middle joint of my thumb and the tip of my thumb hit pause. I thought he paused at first, then a second later when I hit start to see if pause was on (also if I did I figured unpausing would disrupt the flow the least, which doesn't make sense but I panicked because I was afraid I just ruined my win) the game unpaused. Immediately after I paused I knew I had lost (hence why I stood up and said I lost and pointed at myself trying to indicate that I paused). It's not like I wasn't aware of the pause rule and did it just because.
Conscerning the Usmash I have done some extensive testing recently and am currently under the impression that you actually can't SDI into the second hit if you get hit by the tip of it. I was curious whenever MK's knowing I was gonna GR DACUS them tryed to SDI down and couldn't. I'm not sure why but I have literally hit sheiks feet before and not got hit by the second hit.
If I had to take a guess, I would guess that Sheik's tipper has a portion of un-SDIable hitlag like Marth's tipper that holds your opponent in place until the second hitbox has come out and gone, after which it has an SDI multiplier of 1.5 so it can be SDIed really far but not til the second hit is gone. I believe you have to be in range of both hitboxes BEFORE you get hit by either to get hit by both.
I am not positive of this but you guys should try it.
