I drive a lot as many of you I'm sure can relate, and it's not very fun what with all the traffic slowing you down and the monotony of driving to the same places every day. It's very simple really, I want to put together 'the ultimate driving cd' to distract me from the boring chore of driving. The problem is, whenever I sit down to get some songs, I can't think of any, let alone what the song is called or anything. This is where the beloved aus smash community comes in to save the day.

Just post what songs you like to listen to while driving. If you don't drive, maybe you like to listen to songs as a passenger or maybe you listen to something on the bus/train to pass the time. So help me out guys, post a song or many songs that you would recommend and if possible a youtube link to it.

(Extra incentive to all those who get a lift in my car every now and then for obvious reasons.)

I like them.
I quite enjoy Everything Goes Numb but apart from that i dont have much else of theirs.
I suppose i prefer the rawness of the older recording of Keasbey Knights but i can understand their reasoning for wanting to re-do it.

Great responses so far! Luke knows how I like it ;)
There's so many bands and songs I've never heard the names of but I know their music, so this info is good.

I like pretty much any style/genre of music tbh, old and new. I also have an amazing sound system if that helps. The video game music is an interesting idea, I know I loved the Wind Waker music, and Luke also has great game music possibly from Final Fantasy, I'm not sure.

I'm still waiting on some people who get lifts with me (when they dare) to recomend some songs.

Keep it coming guys.

triple baka is horrible.
I will murder you in your sleep.

To everyone else who said Ska: I love you guys. Streetlight Manifesto is amazing, personal favourites being The Receiving End of it All, Here's to Life and Somewhere in the Between.

Sublime is an amazing band. (Wrong Way)

Devildriver and Metallica are the only ones i'd rate there, and even then they are just average (Old Metallica is good though sometimes =P)

In an alternate universe.
Old metallica is all I have on the disc from them. Of course Devildriver and whatnot aren't exactly 'high grade' material, but it's down to the listener to like what they like
