Honestly? This news right here is good enough for me. Kinda supports the 2-slot pre-ballot theory now with a third one that could be the ballot character or characters depending on if they add more.

At best, a message from Nintendo or from social media that the ballot is close to 'BE CLOSED', but that's it. No announcement of new character or anything, just that.

Also, the last patch was great: Increased Shieldstun/ hitlag and nerfs to (backrolls) and airdodges. For a competetive standpoint, this was the BEST patch until now.

So, we have at least three *basically* confirmed characters coming out. That's three away from my total DLC count. Almost there, haha. I'll make some edited roster pictures tomorrow for fun, haha. Anyways, there is no way in Hell that Wolf has been forgotten. I read somewhere that people are thinking that the Fox McCloud outfit for Mii Gunner is a dead-ringer, hinting at Wolf's return. It just goes to show that Star Fox is somewhere in Sakurai's mind. Also heard that people are thinking that with the delay of Star Fox Zero, they won't be holding Wolf till November and just release him sooner. Maybe we'll here something if this "leaked Nintendo Direct" date comes true.

Don't worry, I just put it in their check out the front page. Yeah and another thing about the Fox costume is that it is based on his past design in 64. All the other mii costumes are based on smash 4 counterparts, but not Fox. Just something I wanted to point out. Any way how's Etika doing with those ghosts?

This is wonderful news! We're getting at least 3 characters and this debunked the "Only 2 more" theory, because they can add these whenever they want. But the timing is suspicious. Added a new placeholder in the data, when they know we're looking at it, just before the Ballot ends.

Maybe. The best part is we know we're getting more than 2, and quite a few people were banking on only 2 more characters total and both being Ballot, a couple posters in this very thread actually.

I'd love to have at least 4.

If the odds weren't good already, I think they've just gotten better.

Anyone else find it curious that last update we got a KKR Mii costume, he's one of the most requested/ popular characters.
The only other character to rival that is Wolf, why didn't he get a costume this latest update?
Interestingly enough we did however get a Fox Mii costume, which I suppose could have easily been Wolf.

I know i'm just reading too much into things, but I couldn't help but share.

The only problem with this Patch Gameplay-wise is that is broken again xDUU

The shield changes in this patch do Wolf some good, assuming his moveset stays relatively the same from Brawl. Ftilt should lock them in shield now rather than them shielding the first hit with massive freeze frames and punishing before the second hit comes out. Blaster might do more shield damage and be arguably safe on shield if you hit with the claw first. Sweetspot of Wolf Flash might be safe (could easily test with Fox's custom to get a better idea). Most importantly, bair should easily be safe on shield. Like, in a perfect world where we can pull off at least one bair without landing lag then we could have a bair on the same level as Sheik's fair in terms of safety. It has good range, it might be lagless and we have crazy good air speed. We also have fast attacks and a means of forcing approaching and preventing ourselves from being forced to approach in most cases.

TL;DR with this new patch, I'll easily consider Wolf a potential high tier character if/when he gets in.

If we have an "October ballot winner" only will be Wolf, the others "winners" for 2016 I'm sure
