Well, that wasn't the best Digital Event presentation I've ever seen. Star Fox Zero looks really awesome, though. I can honestly say that "We're gonna have fun with this thing" this holiday season when it comes out. It's a shame that Wolf wasn't confirmed as the next Sm4sh DLC fighter but I actually expected it wouldn't happen. However, as I've said before, I will remain hopeful that he would eventually.

Aside from that, the rest is just new trailers and gameplay footages of already announced games like Fire Emblem: Fates, which I'm pretty excited about, and new games I'm not interested in getting besides Zelda: Triforce Heroes.

The game looks great so far. Obviously it's going to get more polished as the months go by. Fox's fur, the stylized art direction, and the animated character head icons don't bother me either. It looks like it's paying homage to SNES-N64 Star Fox in a good way. Just by looking at the trailers the series looks like it's heading in the right direction, and just when I lost hope too.

So to be on the same page here, Star Fox 0 is a Retcon? Like for example, how DC and Marvel revisions the stories of their popular titles?

Hmm, they certainly look better than Assault overall, but there wasn't a zinger really. To do this, they'd have to pull off something better than the intro mission of Assault.

Star Fox 0 from what I hear is a sequel to 64. I think they're starting with the series again after 64.

Edit: Kat was confirmed to appear in one of the levels in the demo. That most likely means Bill will be in as well. General Pepper appears in Corneria. Also Miyamoto confirmed the Smash Bros Fox and Falco amiibos will be compatible with Star Fox 0.

I think magic needs to stay far away from Star Fox but if they really want to tie in the Dino Planet lore as a future episode then have DP fit with the aesthetic of Star Fox. What can the magic on DP do that Fox's trained team of mercenaries can't do with technology? It doesn't look like there's on foot combat so if Krystal comes back she'll either be in an Arwing (which her primitive ass will somehow learn with no problems) or just have her ride that flying dinosaur. I prefer riding a flying dinosaur through space with a cute helmet on.

The game is a reimagining of the first and 64. Therefore takes place before Krystal appears. You also don't see Panther Caroso in Star Wolf because he hasn't appeared yet.

Nintendo's E3 digital conference was mostly underwhelming, but Star Fox Zero looks really really awesome. All the transformations look great and the gameplay looks good as usual. Of course the development team is still working on it and will look polished when the game is ready for release.

Not surprised that Wolf wasn't announced for Smash but he will soon. His time will come. I have a feeling he will be a pre-ballot selection.

Sakurai literally Copy/pasted Pit, press'd X a few times and tweaked a few settings. Clones are a bonus extra and thats from sakurai himself, he isnt in because of his uniqueness. Dark Pit was actually ranked really high on Famitsu's Nintendo popularity polls. He's super popular in Japan.

Thats probably the next time we get an update on anything from Nintendo so thatll probably be the next likely time for a character announcement.
