Why are there more horror games on the wii than the Xbox 360?

I certainly hope so, too. The Wii needs more games that aren't shovelware, and this looks extremely promising.

What the Wii needs is for GotY level games like Final Fantasy XIII to be made for it and then ported to the other systems later, IMAO.

I wonder why there are so many horror games for the wii coming out. It seems like an odd fit. It's nice to have some promising games, but why horror rather than, say, (online) multiplayer FPS?

Well my only theory for that is that horror games like this, Fatal Frame, the rail shooter trio (Dead Space and RE), are more niche, and since Wii is less of a financial risk to develop for than the PS360, they come to the Wii first.

I don't really like these screenshots. The graphics seemed much better in the clips I'd seen before.

I kinda get a "gimmicky" vibe from the shaking-wiimote icon and the health bar.
