GUYS LET'S COMPLAIN ABOUT ANY WEAPON/PERK BECAUSE WE'RE TOO BAD AND CAN'T BEAT THEM <c
Fixed for you.

Question: How often do you get oneshots with that set?
Aim for their upper body and you should get a OHKO unless they have painkiller on or if the game doesn't feel like killing them.

Modern Warfare 2 On 360 Busted, Ammo In Plentiful Supply? [Update]

http://kotaku.com/5426605/modern-warfare-2-on-360-busted-ammo-in-plentiful-supply-[update]

"Essentially, we're hearing that people are joining MP matches, then finding that there are no ammo counters. It's unlimited ammo. On all weapons. Here's one forum post highlighting the issue, but hit the internet, you'll find dozens more. And some videos. Like these ones.

Like I said, I don't know how this is happening, but word on the street is that it's an exploit - created by modders - that can be "passed" around anyone and everyone who plays against them, as it sticks in their 360's cache. Only, instead of corrupting data, it blows up MW2 maps.

To get rid of the glitch, you'll have to disconnect from Live and reboot your 360."

Report: Modern Warfare 2 PC U.S. Retail Sales About 170,000 In November

http://kotaku.com/5426474/report-modern-warfare-2-pc-us-retail-sales-about-170000-in-november

"According to a new report from Gamasutra on last month's NPD figures, the PC version of Modern Warfare 2 moved "nearly 170,000" copies at retail. That doesn't include figures for Steam, Valve's digital distribution system, which are likely to have been significant—today, over 100,000 Steam users were playing the game online at the same time, but we're not sure how that breaks down to retail and online sales."

I have officially reached Bankai form with my silenced intervention. There's just no out sniping me one on one.

Set up:
Tactical Insertion(for now til i unlock claymores, prestige 3, lvl 25)
Stuns
Sleight of hands pro
SP pro
SA pro
Silencer.

Just unparalleled sniping going on atm. I haven't used anything but the silenced Intervention in this prestige.

My current title and emblem for the lulz:

I realized the best way to enjoy the titles/emblems is putting **** you like, not rare stuff just because it's rare.
This is essentially my sniper set up, except without the silencer and instead some FMJs.
I also have a glock with a red dot on it too ('tis awesome)

And I have the Perfectionist title and emblem (which interestingly I got out of pure luck)

That's it. This game is nearing unplayability. The modded rooms have infected every game type now. I've just been through 3 TDM games with nothing but non-stop noobtubes raining down from everywhere. This needs to be fixed ASAP, or I think I'll have to go back to CoD4.

On a lighter note, here's my theoretically perfect Sniper set up.

M21 w/ Silencer.
USP/M9 w/ Tac Knife
Claymores
Stuns
Scavenger Pro (Marathon for Wasteland)
Cold Blooded Pro
Ninja Pro

Never show up on anything. The M21's non existent recoil means having to 2 shot is no problem. Scavenger pro for ammo and claymore abuse. The handguns are decent for protecting myself thanks to their low drawing time. I can't even count how many times I've been saved thanks to the quick swap. If I had a MP or shotgun, I woulda been dead.

I am more an aim to kill sniper, not hide and seek (and I die since I kinda suck, but that will alleviate with more practice), so I prefer the intervention with FMJ to this. I also have sleight of hand since it is a bit more useful for a sniper (the faster you get to your scope the better [especially true for the intervention]).
I have the glock with it since it also whips out amazingly fast (try it, it comes out almost as soon as you pull back your sniper). I have a red dot on it, so I have a weapon capable of close-mid range (it takes around 12 bullets to kill without a headshot. This may sound like a lot, but this is about 1/3 of a clip or 1/9 the total ammo, possibly less then other MPs (outside the raffica, but that's more like a normal pistol). The Red dot sight allows me to nail enemies from farther ranges, since moving hipfire is a little too inaccurate for this (which is why I don't use akimbo).
I have tactical insertion because I didn't like the claymores (it was too useless, I have taken down quite a few), and choosing to spawn near a good spot is better than having to hike there.

Again, perks are sleight of hand, stopping power, and steady aim.

Keep in mind that if someone discovers your Tactical Insertion, You'll be spawn-killed pretty quick. Claymores are better for snipers IMO. Good as a warning sign and I always get a good amount of kills with them. But personal preference I guess... M21 is the best sniper IMHO. I only used the .50 Cal because I didn't want to bother having to go through all the **** to get Thermal.

True, which is why I typically find some corner or remote spot to put it.
And when I tried claymores, people sneaking up on me wasn't my problem (in fact, it rarely is).
I use the normal scope because of how awkward the Thermal scope looks on the intervention (it's so tiny!), and of course I hate silencers & Acogs, and the weird look problem applies to the mags as well (in fact, the only gun the extended mags isn't weird on is the M1014 [since that is in fact closer to it's actual ammo count]) FMJ just does better for me.
And I use the intervention because I am a typical/wanderer sniper (I often travel around looking for a good spot), so I am more reliant on the scope, which makes the intervention fit me more (plus I don't have a reason for semi auto yet).

I only need to shoot them once with the Intervention like 7/10 times. It works good, plus I'm very quick with the sniper and sleight of hands pro( faster ads) furthers that speed.

Today I went (one of my best games ever while excluding shipment/rust/modded games) on Skidrow, Domination. 86 and 21 with my sniper set up. They had no ****ing chance. Super montageeee:-p.

Edit: My kill streaks were/are PM, HS, and PL.

That actually doesn't sound bad 0_0
Except Thermal is the bomb. Helps so much when it comes to large maps and campers. But yeah...I hardly ever snipe anyway ;)
Your secondary setup sounds good too. Pistols are great for snipers+the Tactical Knife helps if you encounter anyone trying to creep up on you. Aside from that, sounds good. If I had tactical knife I would use it, but since it is a stealth class, I tend to use a silenced M9.

Good ****. Your Killstreak usually gets me at least 10 kills. Air Domination.

Is anyone else getting sick of these glitched up matches????

My god I've gotten FIVE in a row today! If I keep getting this mess then I'm going back to CoD4 until all of the BS is fixed!

Yeah, but the thermal scope looks to be about a fourth the size of the normal sniper (and it apparently has the same zoom!). It just looks weird for a sniper rifle to have a scope that tiny (M21 & WA2000 are fine, they technically aren't sniper rifles)

And BTW, the glock is a machine pistol. It isn't popular apparently since of the recoil, but I've used high recoil weapons before (Halo SMG). Plus, you get more ammo. I've tried Akimbo on it, but it just doesn't feel good to me (aiming down sights is somewhat important for me).

Infinite ammo, rust matches, domination games that never end, and the list goes on.

Not only that. It happens to me about 50% of the time that I want a regular match! It's infuriating!

I started playing cod 4 again...
It made me realize mw2 needs better maps, I hate most of them.
other than that, I think mw2 did almost everything else right/better.
m1887 can get annoying, but they're not that bad.

YES YES YES YES YES

That's been my #1 complaint about this game. Too many of the maps practically beg you to camp on them, and most of them simply aren't fun.

I want some CoD4 map pack DLC for MW2 ASAP.

My gripe with these maps is that they're more vertical instead of horizontal. I was much better at horizontal fighting than vertical shooting.

Also, I can't wait for IW to nerf the 1887s. That'll be the day.

Yeah, maybe if they had released a public BETA.
/beats the dead cow

Anyway, try TDM Express, it's not usually affected by those dumb rust matches. And well, it's fun to go from game to game without having to wait.

I WILL **** YOUR **** UP ***** <c

Maybe this is a sign that you should try different gametypes. Or maybe IW is trying to weed out the little girls that can't stick with them.

In all honesty, I feel like the maps are better this time around. Underpass, Derail, and Wasteland are the only ones that I can't stand. I find Terminal, Karachi, Invasion, and Afghan to be very good. It feels like they tried their hardest to prevent camping. ie. only getting one claymore, creating multiple entrances to every camping spot.

To me, there's a counter to everything in the game and if you can't take the time to learn how to play, then this really isn't the game for you. Go back to CoD4 MP5/M16.

Everything this says states my opinion. Look at Karachi! Half the ble:)ep map is on a second-story. Invasion isn't much different. It's not necessarily a bad thing in al cases...But I do get annoyed being killed from the back if I'm running by a camper.

I find that TDM Express takes a while to find a match or merge us with another lobby if I'm playing in a party with my friends but loads faster when I begin searching on my own.

I'm still waiting for the next patch/update when they fix the party and spawn systems.

How are they trying to weed out the little girls? Unless that was a lulz comment. I hate Wasteland and I'm indifferent about Derail. The rest of the maps are amazing to me, ESPECIALLY Skidrow and Underpass.

It feels like they tried their hardest to prevent camping?

-5347247 places to hide in
- An 8, 9, 11, 15, and 25 kill streak
-Higher auto aim, meaning if you're caught off guard, you're dead. Forget about jumping in this game
-Scavenger+ Claymores = YES!
-Maps are huej.

BUT, I agree with you. There's a counter to everything and if you're getting *****, learn these counters because the game is pretty balanced. Just don't tell me this game was made to prevent camping, that's just silly talk when you compare it to relevant games like Waw and Cod4 where you have the luxury of running around on a consistent basis, even if you have a bad connection like moi.

I love this game, just hate the Rust matches because they're uninteresting. And, I hate the infinite ammo matches because of the noob tube. Otherwise, the inf ammo matches would be awesome.

I don't know man, it works fine for my friends and me. And yeah, the party system's TERRIBLE, especially for Ground War. -_-

LOL that picture made me laugh... HARD

@Zero Beat

So if the maps support camping then why do you like them so much? The multiple buildings and hiding spots everywhere are the sole reason that I can't stand a majority of the maps.

I miss being able to run around on a map and EASILY know where the other team is. Think of maps like Bog. But not in MW2 I'm extremely paranoid when I'm going just about anywhere whether it's on Wasteland, Derail, Sub Base, or even smaller maps like Highrise.

EDIT: OMG 700th post am I l33t yet?

I like them within the setting of Modern Warfare 2 and the type of gameplay this installment warrants.

Sorry I wasn't specific enough to begin with. And I think what some of us are struggling with is the idea that we're not going 50 and 5 every game like in Cod 4. We're used to it and expect it but no way is this happening anytime soon. The maps are more complex now and will take time to decipher in terms of :

"I can go run my *** off through here, then quickly aim there and expect a double kill. Then run my *** out of here and aim there too."

That's what running and gunning is, and with maps like these(as opposed to cod4's simpler map layouts) it's gonna take a while...

The little girls was a lulz comment. I was saying that maybe IW is purposely allowing these Rust matches to see who would stick with the game and who would quit playing. It was pretty outlandish because that'd be a dumb thing to do, glad you caught that.

In my opinion, it felt like they tried to prevent it. Any major camp spot has multiple entrances. They can't prevent anyone from hiding in a corner, it really isn't their fault. You have access to two stuns, a heartbeat sensor, and a UAV. Use them. But that's just me, I guess I haven't really experienced hardcore camping as of yet so I can't relate.

The maps are huge, meaning you'll be able to avoid campers if you avoid, say, the grassy area near B on Underpass.

I guess I can't convince you. I really don't care, haha. I'll still be playing this game for a long time.

We all will. What Zero Beat said is definitely the most accurate. We've only had the game for a little over a month now so there's still a lot of learning to be done in terms of our knowledge of the maps.

I guess overtime these newer maps will grow on us and we'll understand them inside out just as well as we did on CoD4.

And if we don't... God help us all. :urg:

I'm already starting to learn the maps. I just need to find a good SMG I can use to burst fire with for midrange battles. Long range I can generally out maneuver my enemy and get to a safe spot/alternate route to avoid him. I think the UMP is a good gun for this. Any confirmations?

I've already got Quarry and Derail down to a method where I can run and gun those maps with success. Quarry is the map I usually get Nuke kill sprees on. Though I never have my Nuke equipped. D:

I got a 26 kill streak with a UAV-Predator-Airstrike set up. That'd have been a legit Nuke too, none of this Harrier-CG/AC130 bull.

I decided I'm not gonna prestige again.

If there were challenges on top of the Prestige ones, I might do it.
