Just recently watched some old CoD4 vids... I miss those days. Then I realized this game is right around the corner and part of me wants to pick it up to try and relive some of the glory days. But then again something tells me not to cause MW2 was a disappointment and MW3 was just ass.

Sucks how all of the perk combinations I really want to use are just one point above the standard 8-point limit. Seems like I'm gonna have to be either making some finicky compromises or running specialist on everything. Meh. I like this new system though; can't deny that. Also, soooooo ****ing happy to see unlimited sprint back. "On the Go" reminds me of Battlefield.

I'm considering specialist, but I've never been good enough to keep the streak going. I'd rather help the team out with Support, so that the team can win more than my personal K/D and ****. I'm glad there aren't any Lethal supports this time. At least, no bombers. No idea what the ODIN support is.

ENEMY SHIELDS ANALYZED

Must say, I'm surprised with how much fun I had in our first session. Good games all around.

Cranked is great if you're good with churning out some fast streaks, not to mention manic as hell. All around a great game type.

Some guns are dominating the roster already, including the HoneyBadger, Ak12, and that-one-three-burst-AR. Basically, assault rifles are back in business.

I'm mostly disappointed with streaks and the spawn logic to an extent.

The streaks seem rather mundane, which is a plus or a minus depending on how you look at it. What I find strangest is that Assault and Support fall nowhere near the categorization they did in MW3. Support in MW3 centered around helping your team and yourself a bit; Support in Ghosts is wacky with no apparent direction. Assault is slightly more focused, but there is WAY too much overlap between the two systems. Specialist is really different, but in a good way.

The spawns... eh. Could be better. Now instead of revenge spawns, there is more of a flank spawn. You will definitely notice more enemies coming in from your flanks. Oh well. Better than butt-touching spawns.

Whatever that survival mode thing is, I played a few rounds. Interesting. Requires more investigation.

Connections are better. Only a few choppy moments were experienced, and wanted pro is almost nonexistent. Hitboxes are lenient yet precise.

Listening is now a MUST. Buy a good headset, everyone. Stealth is crazy encouraged, balanced only by your own spacial awareness.

Panic knifing is a thing again. We can all shed a tear for the days of plastic knives in Blops2. Right thumbstick warriors will have their way.

So is quickscoping, but it doesn't look like that community has gotten their hands on the game yet. Too busy fondling Vonderdick I guess.


Will definitely continue playing this one. There's a good bit of polish and a lot of fun to be had.

I'm enjoying it so far, too. I haven't gone positive that much, but A) It's me, and B) the game JUST came out.

The feeling is good. It's also not BLops 2, with it's terrible net code and lag. Granted, I still hit some lag spikes, but they are using dedicated servers for the first time, there are bound to be issues. Plus, it's not BLops 2.

Honey Badger doesn't give a ****. And the Grip actually does stuff again.

Holy ****. They have diving in this game (?). I am happy as hell.

Okay, I haven't played this game online yet, and I've barely gotten to play it at all; just got it less than an hour ago. The problem is, when I load it up, it loads widescreen for some reason, and I don't know how to change that. Black Ops 2 loads fullscreen just fine, as does my Xbox dashboard. But with this game, it keeps loading widescreen, and the TV that I want to play on (the one downstairs in my room, away from everyone else) is a somewhat small, standard definition TV. I cannot play widescreen to save my life. Has anyone else gotten this upon loading up the game?

F***. I love how hard it is to snipe in this game, honestly. I mean, I think I'll get used to it pretty quickly, but damn. <3 Also, I think I'm gonna be going Zatchielina in this game. COD chicks are sexy as hell.

Yup. Adapted fasted than I thought I would. Really liking this game, but I ****ing hate what Black Ops 2 did to my knifing game. I just about always try to either panic hip fire with a sniper or draw my sidearm, forgetting that the knifing is actually pretty viable in this game. Gonna take some more experience to out that chink. Is anyone getting on tonight? I still haven't gotten the widescreen thing straightened out, but eh, I'm doing acceptably offline. Haven't tried online yet.

So far, I'm enjoying the game.

Squads is nice when no one else is online, but I still wanna play. I've seen bots do some shady ****. Like, corner camping with a claymore in front of them...

Riot Shield now has attachments! Camo is on there too, but I haven't looked to see if the challenges are different. I'd assume they are.

Haven't messed around with the shield yet, but it has three attachments:

• Portable Radar
• Portable Jammer
• Something that makes you melee faster

You can even use the extra attachments perk on it.

Seeing as there is no Javelin in this game, I think a build could still be made to make it fun, but no idea what I'll run on it yet.

Also, the .44 Magnums suck ass. They're single action, meaning that the hammer has to be pulled back each time before you can shoot. Even running Akimbo they're still bad. They can allegedly one shot, but I have yet to see it.

There's also a patch called "I have no idea what I'm doing", where you run akimbo magnums with ACOG sights on them.

I got my "If it bleeds, I can kill it" patch last night, too. For those who don't know, it's knife a god damn Maniac until he dies.

For anyone having issues with the Humilation Field Orders, after you kill a guy, teabag him. Boom, FO done.

Yeah. So we're playing against dudes that are pros/semi pros and they get a ****ing KEM strike from a field order. We still only lost by like 4 points.

I think our randoms were too busy licking windows to contribute. If dying was the goal of the game, then they'd be gods.

At any rate, I'm still actually enjoying this game. I can play all night if people wanna play.
