Ok. Iv been playing CF for about a month now and i'v beenof the c-stick for a week...stricktly A button. The only reason I even off is because (honestly) Isai dosnt use it and i'd thought it make me better if i didnt too...i do feel faster and more acurrate...but mabey im kidding myself..anyways...

Basically im tryin to see who uses it and who dosn't

Isai = No (according to the word arround camp-fire)
Dark Rain = No (sytar's...knowledge/gossip lol)
Angelo B. = No (according to his guild)
Silent S. = ???
G-Reg = Yes, for up and down airs.
Tapion = Yes, for everything.
Clod Z. = ???

I want to make a list for all to know...see if i can discover somthing we all might have over-looked.

So post yes or no and why?

Yes and no, It depends on how you feel comfortable with it. I use the c-stick to shffl uair mostly but thing like bair I will use A to do it.

It depends what's comfortable.

For advancing bairs/retreating knees, and SHFFLed Uairs I will c-stick. Other times it really doesn't matter. Sometimes it feels more natural to use the c-stick.

In effect, the C-stick is good for DI away from attacks, and also shffling.

The A button should be faster in all respects as it's closer to your jump button.

I hear Darkrain doesn't touch the C-stick.

I've started using the C-stick for some of my upairs.
Somehow, I get them out faster. I fastfall them better as well.
I can slide up with my palm as I'm pressing the jump button so it's faster than my A button will allow.
I also use the cstick for all my bairs and fairs to the left. I can smack the c-stick with part of my thumb as I'm pressing the jump button, so it's even faster than the A for that as well. Other attacks I use A for, though.

i use the C-stick for mostly uairs/uair combos and for DI, and the A button for everyother direction

You should learn to use both fluidly and effectiently in the aspects you want to use them; this is #1 super CF priority, learning to control your character.

I find it easier to use the C-stick for shffled d-airs and u-airs, but I use A for f-air and b-air unless I'm DI-ing in the other direction of the attack, like Eaode said..

I use c-stick for dairs and uairs, because I often accidentally double jump when I use uair, or fastfall too fast for dairs so the attack never comes out.

'm usually more of an A-button guy, but short-hop/fast-falling into a tilt-A is easier with the C-stick, I've learned.

ss wont post. this forum is filled with too much nooby **** like this.

whatever works for u. if you can uthrow ganon at 40% and then shffl 4 uairs on him across fd with just up and A, then that works fine.

sometimes i use A for bair or fair. I use A for pivots. Cstick for most everything else

Using both is best, imo. Use c-stick for U-airs and d-airs to prevent accidental fastfalling or double jumping. Sometimes I use for U or D-smash also.

i use them both, cstick for mainly uair and dairs but also when need to throw into a knee on wierd di or to space a bair well.
its probably better because you have ur analog free, but it is quite far so unless you have a special grip, it can take time reaching from the x\y to the cstick etc

i c-stick my dairs and uair to control my shffl's better because sometimes imo its hard to shffl when using A. btw those who can uair using mad props to you, i do'nt even attempt that. strictly c-stick all the way.

I use it more than I should. It's probably easier to shuffle your moves with the A-button. Hence the reason I've been weening myself opff the c-stick. I use it for non-shuffled aerials though. It's easier for me to land a Knee or Shiek's Fair using the c-stick.

I use A button for jabs, tilts, and neutral airs. C for everything else.

The more experienced captains give me feedback on this but I believe that using thhe c-stick for aerials would be a good habit because it don't affect falcon's trajectory. I went from A to MOSTLY (not all) using the c stick for my moves because now that I have done that my falcon is a lot more accurate

I use C for uairs and fairs usually. I always smash with a, but I wavesmash with C. It's faster, most people would agree it is the best for speed, and most people use it for wavesmashing.

C-stick for Dair (don't wanna fastfall) and Uair (don't wanna double jump). I occasionally use it for a forced Bair (just to maintain okay DI). I never use it for Fair, it's too awkward...and I hope nobody uses it for Nair -.-

let's talk about the advantages of A vs C-stick..i like C-stick on almost everything..it's more accurate..you have good di

but i don't really agree that it's as fast unless you are either clawing in which case it obviously is..or you are really good..like most of you probably are..but for the n00b falcon like me who is only now starting to get the hang of all those quadruple nairs on marth from dthrow at 0% etc...

A is faster...i mean no matter how fast i move there is no way that i can make the c-stick get a move out off the ground quite as fast as A.

now most of the time this doesn't matter..in one case in particular (upthrow on fox to knee) if you don't shorthop and knee going up you aren't going to be able to kill him at as low a damage.

however, this in itself would not make me stop using the c-stick..but i feel like a lot of the pros i watch that don't use the c-stick seem to really favor the fair off the ground when rushing the opponent etc...personally i don't think it makes that much of a difference.

One of my biggest questions is how useful being able to shffl an upair with A will be.. you will be able to start upair chains 5-10% lower if you can shffl it directly with A i would think..which makes me want to learn to use A..and just throw in C-stick when i need fancy DI or have lots of time

anyways, can most of you do aerials immediately off the ground even with the c-stick? or is there a noticeable difference if you roll from X to A or whatever? i can definitely get off an aerial faster with A..not sure how much it matters...but i really wish i could just C-stick everything..this way i have to remember to C-stick those retreating knees to get a kill sometimes

regardless how necessary is it to do upairs immediately off the ground? i'm thinking maybe i'll go back to the c-stick more...

on a final thought it occurs to me that if you wanted to short hop an upair right off the ground then they are probably low enough to be comboed by a nair so why bother.. so maybe i can get by without using A for most moves

edit 2: so for example on marth at 30% if you upthrow he can't get off his fair until your nair hits so upthrow (with no di) to nair upair knee would work just as well
as upair upair knee

however, i figure some of you are probably fast enough to use the cstick and pull off the second combo (my upair comes out too late with the c-stick to hit him high enough)..not me yet though:\ but maybe doing upairs off the ground has little use for CF. Debate!

It doesnt matter which one you use
they both have same speed
I guess it comes down to which ever one is easyer to do
press direction A or C stick

The only think I use C Stick for is U-airs

Personally, I use only the c-stick, but I'm used to using 2 sticks since I've played Halo for years. What I would recommend is instead of worrying about how good certain people do with what they use, just get better with what you're used to. Changing to be like someone else won't help in the long run, you'll just be wasting time that could be better spent perfecting your own choice.
