C-stick down fast falling

I noticed that in brawl, using the C-stick for down aerials, more often than not, results in a fast fallen down aerial instead... is there any way to overcome this?

Do your d-air before you start falling.

-Jump before using dair
-Tilt with the control stick instead of using c-stick.

C-stick dair works the same way as dair with an analog.

Change c-stick to tilt stick, for some characters this can be helpful not really for Marth though...

Well, Marth's smash attacks aren't really his forte. I am sure someone could make it a tilt stick and be just as good, just a little getting used to.

It's just that tilt stick has some weird buffering characteristics, which is what makes it awkward. If you buffer any command with a tilt stick it becomes a jump, also you can't do SDI with it. Guess it can be useful though...
